Commands used at these higher levels will be progressively taught for detailed exercises which include advanced heelwork, retrieve, send away, scent, advanced stays and advanced control work.

Since graduating I have taken on many coaching roles within the fitness industry to help develop and inspire those around me. I have run FitKid sessions for children as well as RSA Exercise To Music Courses for aspiring teachers, worked as a lecturer in local colleges and of course run fitness classes ranging from Circuits and Body Pump to Yoga and Step. I bring this vast experience to my current classes along with a passion to help people be the best they can be and have fun along the way. I have encouraged many people as they start on their fitness journey and motivated them to continue on their chosen path. Angie has been making bespoke (made to order) soft furnishings and loose covers since the late '80's and upholstery since the mid '90's. She has professional qualifications in upholstery and loose cover making plus teaching qualifications and plenty of experience of teaching adults in these subjects. As a teacher she feels strongly that when you are learning something new it is important to undertake a project that you can complete on the course and one that is not beyond your level of skill - it is no use deciding to make a loose cover, if you have never sewn anything since you left school! It is also important to return home with your newly learnt skills and continue to use them. Try to make sure that on your return home there are similar projects waiting to be undertaken. The courses are aimed at students of all skill levels, from those wanting to start their own business, to those just wanting to improve the quality of what they make in their own home and from those who have never sewn at all, to those who are already accomplished but want to extend their knowledge.

Nicki and Lisa met in 2009 – on an advanced communication skills course! Lisa was a delegate and Nicki was training to be a facilitator. Lisa subsequently also went through training (she says it’s the most rigorous training she has ever done) . Their working partnership developed over the subsequent years, and they began facilitating courses together regularly in about 2012. They have worked together across England and Wales, and in Ireland. Nicki has had the opportunity to travel to both New Zealand and Singapore to deliver communication skills training. Lisa is not at all jealous… It is very clear to them that the need for communication skills training amongst healthcare professionals is huge, with doctors, nurses and AHPs being asked to have the most difficult conversations with patients and their families without the skills that could make those conversations go as well as possible. The evidence that communication skills can be learned is clear, but staff are not being offered the opportunity to optimise their skills. This feels unfair. In order to continue to be able to deliver training and to develop new facilitators, Nicki and Lisa created Reach in 2018. Both were still in full time NHS employment at the time, but have since retired from clinical work to concentrate on training. They both love what they do
