My daughter was a toddler who didn’t like to sleep and as our families lived too far away to help on the daily childcare, it was time for a change. I decided to take a career break and train as a fitness Instructor so I could continue working but in a more flexible way. It was initially intended as an interim measure but I have never looked back. It all started with Zumba Fitness. At the time it was deemed the latest fitness craze. I became qualified as an ETM (Exercise to music) Instuctor and certified in Zumba Fitness before running a couple of classes in my local town. I continued to add to that over the years and I now teach Zumba Gold, Strong nation and I am certified in Zumba Toning, Zumba Sentao. I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer and a Hatha Yoga Teacher certified in Ashtanga, Pre and Post Natal Yoga and SUP Yoga (Stand up Paddle board) Yoga. I think that it is vital to keep enhancing your skills and knowledge to keep your classes fresh and exciting!

I’m Amy – mummy, wife, founder of Born to Bee Happy and early years expert. Ever since I can remember I’ve been early years mad! Being a teacher I am passionate about education. I just love learning! I truly believe in lifelong learning and I am always looking to develop myself – every day is a learning day. Even as adults I think we have so much to learn, no matter what age. I really enjoy furthering my own knowledge, even when it comes to studying and completing a Masters in Early Years. I’ve been working in education and early years for the last 15 years, teaching all ages from babies to adults in a variety of roles. The Cambridge Information and Intellectual Property Meeting (CIIPM) was founded by Jane List of Extract Information and Stuart Newbold of Patent Search & Information Management in 2015. CIIPM hosts an ‘annual’ meeting and provides training in IP matters and patent information search and analysis. The CIIPM meeting provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing for those engaged with the commercialisation of technologies using intellectual property, and those needing information to make legal and commercial decisions. The annual meeting offers an afternoon of talks, workshops, and discussions, a small exhibition, networking opportunities, and has hosted a post graduate student poster competition. CIIPM also provides unique training courses blending theory and practice in IP Matters, IP Commercialisation, and Patent Searching for Legal and Commercial Insights. Training courses take place throughout the year virtually and at venues in Cambridge, UK, or by arrangement at your office or other location. Following the March 2022 meeting CIIPM have established a programme committee to help us maintain the strong programme and networking. We are very pleased that Claudia Duffy, Innovare IP, Isla Furlong, Director of Intellectual Property, PetMedix Ltd. Mick has been doing tai chi for eight years, in that time he has gained much knowledge both internal and external, with very respected teachers. He met his first teacher, Ann Gathercole, under the Longfei Taijiquan Association of Great Britain, she teaches the Yang Style short form, also Chen Style Tai Chi under the Lineage of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang. He then, after a break away from Tai Chi, found Penang Tai Chi Association who taught the Chen Man Ching Yang 37 step form under teachers Matt & Molly O’Malley but after some thought he decided that he wanted to pursue the Chen Style & found Sifu Clive Spring, who at the time had been teaching for over 35 years in different styles of martial arts, including Chen Style Tai Chi, but after much consideration he wanted to find his first teacher Ann Gathercole again with whom he had been back training with for the last 6 years & has been lucky enough to have also trained with some highly respected teachers along the way. Mick has trained with Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang, Master Chen Bing & Master Chen Yingjun at seminars. Also he has trained with Phil Muil & Emma Westlake who are highly respected teachers who teach the Chen Style & Short Yang Style form at Oxford Chen Bing Taiji Academy. Mick has learned different hand forms and weapons. He has also learned many Qigong forms.
