Echoes of the Four Directions is a coming together of Native American Indian individuals from various tribes, for the purpose of Providing American Indians and non -native American Indians information and education in regards to Native American Indians and our culture. One of the ways we do this is with EDUCATIONAL and CULTURAL PRESENTATIONS. Echoes of The Four Directions will guide and assist you in conducting research for tracing tribal ancestry or tribal affiliation. (no fees involved). CULTURAL DIVERSITY – Echoes of the Four Directions is available as a consultant and or facilitator for both general diversity training and or customized Native American diversity training. The following is a list of what we offer. 1. Speaker – you may pick a topic or we can suggest one for you. FEE $50.00 2. Speaker and native display such as beadwork, artifacts, silverwork, rattles, etc. – display items are explained and discussed. (This is our most requested program). FEE $75.00 3. Native flute playing, talk and demonstration. FEE $50.00 4. Native Silver smith demonstration. FEE $50.00 5. Native bead work demonstration. FEE $50.00 6. Native Story telling. FEE $50.00 7. Native intertribal social dancing demonstration. FEE $50.00 8. Native woman’s traditional shaw dancing demonstration. FEE $50.00 9. Native children’s games and crafts (this is usually reserved for events such as festivals). Fee $100.00 10. Samples of Native foods such as corn soup, boiled peanuts, Native chili, fry bread, and native beverages. FEE 150.00 and up Note: If your program requires Echoes of the Four Directions to travel more than 50 miles one way, there is a minimum of $100.00 a program. Programs can be combined to meet the minimum fee. If we are able to sell our art, or food at your function, we may be able to negotiate a discount on the fees listed, or arrange a trade. Our programs can be geared to any age range from daycare level, to university and senior citizen age. We do festivals, cultural events, civic events, historical programs and so on. EOF Hackspace is an open community of makers and repairers who come together to share knowledge, tools and space. Our location at Makespace Oxford offers us a much needed workshop space to work on all kinds of projects, including collaborations with Brookes University, Oxfordshire County Library, the Ashmolean Museum and more. The tools we purchase and the direction in which we expand will be primarily decided by our members. If you would like us to acquire a particular tool, please join the co-op and make your case! We also take suggestions from non-member users, however it may take longer to action them. How we operatePermalink As a user of the space you can use any tools provided. You can also use the consumables available, provided you replace them regularly or make a small donation. Your subscription money goes into a pot that pays the bills and anything extra gets apportioned to improving the space. Activities in the space are organised by keen volunteers so if you want to learn anything new please find an experienced member and ask them to host a workshop. A good place to do this is in chat. Making changes to the space and the direction we take is done through regular meetings with the members of the co-op (How to Join). These meetings are also open to non-members on the understanding that they are present as advisors. We are keen for our members to make the workshop better suited to their needs, while respecting the needs of others, so small improvements only need a couple of people to agree they are suitable and do not need to be brought to the meetings. Sometimes the tools will break. We are not a professional service and as such unless a tool makes financial sense to replace we expect our members to fix them. That may mean that your favourite tool might be out of service for a while. Please highlight it when it happens but be understanding since everyone in the group is a volunteer. I see individual growth and development as being both fragmented and interlinked. By applying the concept of bricolage, a term used in anthropology meaning taking things which are available to create something new within a cultural context, I aim to co-create a safe space for individuals to explore this fragmentation. I would support and encourage individuals to see themselves and life more holistically.  Training, supervision and therapy is available in person, online or through blended online therapy with face to face therapy. Therapy can be short term or open-ended. I find open-ended work most effective and satisfying. We usually meet weekly at a regular time, as this tends to be the best way of being able to support the work. I offer daytime and evening therapy and supervision sessions.. Initially I suggest we meet for an exploratory session, to give us both the chance to find out whether we feel we can work well together. As well as exploring what has brought you to therapy, we will discuss confidentiality, privacy of information, cancellations, holidays, reviews of the work and payment arrangements.  If you decide to work with me, we will discuss and sign a written contract together, including privacy and data protection aspects, then review our work regularly thereafter. Salma Siddique, PhD, FHEA, FRSA, FRAI is an academic and clinical (psychotherapist) anthropologist based in Scotland. She obtained her doctorate in anthropology from the University of St. Andrews and later qualified as a UKCP registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.  Research areas Her main research teaching is based on the dialogue between psychoanalysis, psychotherapy and anthropology. This is influenced by her clinical experience working with people in trauma resulting from oppression, abuse, torture, fleeing disaster and conflict zones. Salma actively encourages engagement in research based on the philosophy of indigenous epistemologies. Child observation is at the heart of training and enhancing on-going practice-based evidence. Emerging research practitioners will gain a greater understanding in the application of self-analysis to the research. They will apply a diversity of methods such as psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and (auto)ethnography when considering intersubjectivity and its experience of the 'other' within their own configurations of meanings She is a contributor to research writing as a clinical anthropologist. Her work and practice engage with the tension between collective guilt and personal responsibility examined from the witnessing of identity and belonging through displaced lives, racism and systemic oppression.

Erin Whyte (founder and teacher) – I started my love of music at a young age and began classical training from the age of 14. After leaving school I went on to study popular singing at Jewel and Esk College on their HND Music course. During these 2 years I sang in bands and in choirs and my passion for performing was born. From here I went on to focus on my classical voice at Edinburgh Napier University where I studied on their BMus (hons) course for 4 years. I gained a lot of experience singing solo and in small groups which really helped build my self-confidence. I have worked with children for over 16 years, starting out shadowing a music teacher in primary schools. This is where I found my love for teaching music to young children. Knowing I wanted to work with children I left retail and started working at Newtongrange After School Club. From here I began working as a Learning Assistant at Stockbridge Primary School and worked at their After School Club. Following the birth of my son in 2014 I gave up work to be a full time Mum. With lots more free time I could take him to classes for little ones where I met some of my best friends, and Charlie did too. I found out how invaluable these classes were for both child and carer and realised that this was the environment I wanted to work in. In 2015 I became a teacher for Monkey Music. Here I learnt how to really work with babies and toddlers and grow relationships with them and their carers. My dream for a long time has been to combine my passions for singing, music and working with young children. With the arrival of our daughter Katie at the start of 2017 I am finally back to work and realising that dream. I think it’s highly important to have affordable and educational classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in and around local areas, not only for the little ones to make friends, but for the adults to meet people from the community too. Music is a great tool to bring people together and also encourages self-confidence which is an important factor in a young person’s life.n

Throughout his 30 year IT career, John has been privileged to visit many different industrial, commercial, government and military sites including steel works, car manufacturers, factories, offices, power stations, petro-chemical, and electrical, gas and water utility installations. He has completed projects throughout Europe (The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg and Switzerland) India, and the Asia Pacific Region (Cambodia, and Australia). His career started as a British Telecom apprentice in the 1980’s in the City of London and he has worked in many city financial institutions. In 1989 he left to join J.O. Grant & Taylor as a junior project manager, in 1990 he joined Electrical Installations Ltd as a project and bid manager in the structured data and voice cabling sector and worked on projects such as British Steel Scunthorpe and Redcar, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and Cranfield Institute of Technology. Working for himself in 1996, he installed servers, switches and desktops into UK Job Centres nationwide. 1997, saw him join Computacenter as a Systems Engineer and he worked at some notable clients including Lloyds TSB, HFC Bank, Mecca Bingo, HSBC, British Energy, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Severn Trent Water to name a few. 'I set up Carbon³ IT in 2009, my own sustainable IT consultancy, providing information, products and services to clients looking to reduce energy costs and to reduce their IT impact on the environment. I wanted to take all my years of experience in other roles and incorporate it into something I was passionate about. Alongside this I did a BSc (Honours) in Technology with Environment and Development with the Open University, graduating in 2010. I am on the BCS Green IT and Data Centre specialist group committees and have taken the Foundation Certificate in Green IT, the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres, PRINCE 2 Practitioner and ITIL Foundation qualifications. I am currently part way through my Chartered IT Professional qualification. I regularly speak at events on the topic of Green IT & Data Centres and I am well known throughout the Data Centre Industry as a Sustainability Expert. Since December 2011, I have been the lead Assessor on the BCS CEEDA (Certified Data Centre Energy Efficiency Award) programme and since September 2012, I have been the reviewer of applications to become participants on the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres.'

The Courtauld works to advance how we see and understand the visual arts, as an internationally-renowned centre for the teaching, research of art history and a major public gallery. Inclusion Support Service Our Inclusion Support Service delivers specialist advice and practical solutions that will support you in the teaching of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We work collaboratively with you to design a bespoke package specific to your needs, providing strategies that help to ensure your children thrive. Our support will leave your school with capacity and capability to have a long lasting impact, and our professional challenge will enable your school staff to develop outstanding SEN and inclusive practices. Our service is comprised of a team of teachers who bring an extensive local and national perspective of SEND best practice. They have substantial specialist knowledge, skills and advanced qualifications in SEN and are experienced classroom practitioners and leaders/managers of SEN provision in schools. We use evidence based approaches from sources such as the Education Endowment Foundation, Whole School SEND, PDNet and the Autism Education Trust and support you to implement these in your context. The team also have well established links to a wide range of other services, professionals and health agencies, as well as a strong professional relationship with NASEN (National Association of SEN) and Bath Spa University. Core services Our service can be accessed on a consultancy basis, or at different levels of subscription with a number of days spread over three terms. We can work with you as an individual school or work with groups of schools to support collaboration and meet your local priorities. May I, on behalf of the Governing Body, extend a warm welcome to you. The Governing Body at Manor exists to offer support to the Headteacher in the strategic decisions made at the academy, as well as hold the academy to account to ensure that we offer the best educational experience for all of our students. We are a Governing Body of thirteen members who all bring a wealth of skills and experience together to help shape Manor for the future. Our work involves all stakeholders to ensure everyone has a voice in the development of the academy. We meet formally throughout the academic year as a whole Governing Body and perform a number of monitoring visits to ensure our strategic plans have the desired impact on the improvement of our academy. We are all very proud of Manor Academy, both in the academic success our students achieve, and in our work with the local community. We are a wholly inclusive academy and will do everything we can to support students in developing their academic and vocational skills. Chris Richards – Vice Chair I became a parent governor in 2002 and my four sons attended the School. I continued on the Governing body as a co-opted governor when all my sons had left the school. I am retired now but enjoyed a career as a qualified mechanical engineer in both the mining industry and power generation, where I have developed a good understanding of the requirements of health and safety legislation. I have an interest in the sciences and my linked role is as health and safety governor. I am keen to ensure that Manor Academy provides the best educational opportunities for our students as they progress through their formative years. Colin Sawers I was co-opted onto the Governing Body of The Manor Academy in November 2020. I work in the Complaints and Information Team at Nottinghamshire County Council leading a business support team. Since graduating from Loughborough University with a degree in Information and Library Studies I have worked in a variety of library and information services. I am a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals. My career has included experience in both public and further education libraries. Since 2012 I have also served on the Governing Body of Peafield Lane Academy in Mansfield Woodhouse.
