Rebecca is a qualified Chartered Accountant and hold the status FCCA - Fellow members of the Association Of Chartered Certified Accountancy (ACCA). She started off working in Financial Services industry in the insurance sector, then moved on to wealth, followed by healthcare insurance. One of the major highlights was when she took on the Solvency II project when it was introduced in the financial service industry. She was in charge of setting up and implementing pillar III. To simplify, when reporting your financial statement you have IFRS, Local GAAP - Solvency II is an addition to this in the financial service sector. She decided to broaden her industry knowledge and therefore joined one of the biggest companies in the construction industry as a Lead Hub accountant doing statutory accounts for one of the UK entities and looking after Sweden and Poland ensuring the quality of financial statements at country level. She is a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who always looks for opportunities to learn and develop herself, she continues to enhance her strong analytical and organisational skills in financial governance and reporting. Rebecca is not only passionate about finances, she is passionate about helping people understand their finances and make better life decisions. She has always been passionate about financial Coaching, and has been coaching friends and family for most of her life. Realising that most people can benefit from financial coaching she decided to start helping people on a part-time basis. She believes that everyone has potential in achieving their financial success. The idea of Prikli Pear was launched in 2020 during the lockdown by Creative Director and Founder, Jessica Purdie. This is when the social media and web domains were secured and the idea began taking shape. Jess worked full-time in the London PR industry whilst side-hustling on her brand idea. It wasn’t until September 2021 that Jess decided to move away from London and go full-time with her brand. This was a huge plunge into the unknown but Jess was sure that it was going to work out. Jess started with one-off knitwear pieces and accessories, gradually building products to see what worked and what didn’t. It was the only way to start without investment backing. During the winter months of 2021, Jess has received a few alteration requests from locals in the surrounding area of Lincoln and began to take on more and more. It got to the point where this overtook the clothing designs and this is where Prikli Pear’s Alterations service was born. Now a very popular service in the Lincolnshire community where individuals (men, women and children) can get their clothing repaired or altered, including occasional wear such as wedding dresses and suits! Due to popular demand, Jess began to host workshops around Lincolnshire, educating people how to fix their own clothing and create their own knitwear and crochet pieces. All workshops can be found on our events page. The name ‘Prikli Pear’ came from a nickname given to Jess during her early education… A ‘Prikli Pear’ is someone who may come across being a little unaffectionate as Jess is very sensitive to people’s vibes that they give off. No one wants to hug a negative nancey and especially Jess who keeps her aura in positive form. Whether you are affectionate or not, Prikli Pear pride itself on creating handmade clothing that tells a story and holds the personality behind the manufacturing. We aim to tell the back story of the creators by displaying WHO made the clothes and how long it took to make them. We shy away from the world of fakery and ensure we manifest true communications for our customers and our team. Prikli Pear’s style holds ‘tongue n’ cheek’ bold, graphic and colourful statement prints, knits & embroidered pieces, classic to the style of Jessica Purdie’s art! HENRY MORRIS Impington Village College opened its doors in 1939 within days of the declaration of World War II. It was the fourth Village College to be established in Cambridgeshire by the visionary educationalist Henry Morris, who firmly believed that both formal and informal education should be a lifelong process, a vision that carved an innovative new approach for education. This remains extremely important today as the founding ideas and principles remain embedded within the fabric of Impington Village College, and we aspire to uphold Henry Morris’ vision. Our College is open to the whole community; as well as an excellent education for students from Years 7 to 13, we offer a variety of adult education courses and workshops. The foundation of Impington Village College was made possible through the foresight and generosity of the Chivers family, who donated land, support and finance. The original building was designed by Walter Gropius, founder of The Bauhaus School of Architecture, and his partner Maxwell Fry. The iconic design was a radical departure from the taut educational establishments of the Victorian era, and introduced many innovations that had not been seen before. The original construction, which is now Grade 1 Listed, still stands at the heart of the College and continues to attract visitors from all over the world.

We have only been in our building since April 2015. Previous to this the school was on two sites following the Wyre Forest restructuring in 2011 (Bewdley Road site, formerly Blakebrook, and Comberton Road site, formerly Stourminster). We share our campus with St John's Church of England School and Baxter College. Our Early Years Hub includes a Nursery Assessment Class, which can take up to 25 children. We have a state-of-the-art science lab housed within Baxter College. We also have a vocational hub and a Sixth Form which prepares children for life after school. Offsite we run the award-winning Blossom Tree Café in Springfield Park. Our vision is to truly ensure that we meet the individual needs of all children at WFS and prepare them for adulthood. Simon holds an Honour's degree in English Literature from Cardiff University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Worcester, and a Master of Educational Studies degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia. In 2014, he was the recipient of the prestigious UNSW Dean's Leadership Award, and was honoured to become a fellow of the Project Zero Institute at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is currently in the process of writing a book introducing a new framework for teaching and learning called Curiosity-Based-Learning. Educator - Facilitator - Change Agent Simon has enjoyed many years’ experience in senior educational leadership roles, working in both government and independent sectors in the UK and Australia. His first significant leadership role was as Head of English at Cleeve School in Cheltenham, UK. Following this, Simon spent ten years as Director of Teaching and Learning at Masada College in Sydney Australia, developing close connections with Dr. Ron Ritchhart and the Project Zero team at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In this role, Simon led the transformation of the school into a lighthouse school for Cultures of Thinking pedagogy and practice, and became a key influencer in the cultures of thinking movement in Australia. Simon’s most recent in-school role prior to becoming an independent educational consultant in 2016 was as Regional Principal for an international network of independent schools. In 2017, Simon became a founding member of the Project Zero Sydney Network, and continues his work with this not-for-profit organisation designed to share Harvard Project Zero ideas with the educational community. In 2018, Simon and his family moved from Sydney to Cheltenham in the UK, and he continues to work closely with partner schools in the UK, Australia and around the world. The Custom House and Canning Town Community Renewal Project … is a charity established in 1994 and is based in the refurbished old St Luke’s Church building in Canning Town. Our mission is to develop and manage self-sustaining local groups, community-controlled assets and a range of activities and enterprises for the benefit of the local people. The Charity obtained St. Luke’s for a peppercorn and organised a £2.25 million refurbishment which created 4 floors of spacious offices and amenities. Rent from the offices and the Abrahams nursery building makes the Charity self sustaining and provides a regular if modest sum for charitable activities. The Charity is governed almost entirely by local people. At the end of 2021 the following were members of the Management Committee:- Sarah Ruiz Forest Gate Janet Moffatt Canning Town Frank Rosillo-Calle Canning Town Lorraine Starke Canning Town Freda Ayres Canning Town Amala Corera Epping Adrian Hodgson Custom House Elizabeth Booker Canning Town Structure, governance and management The Charity is registered as a charitable company limited by guarantee and governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association. The CH&CTCRP, with a turnover of under £500,000, is run by trustees who are also directors. 9 trustees take responsibility for the risks involved in running the organisation by making considered decisions. They do this for nothing. 7 of 8 trustees come from Newham and 6 are from Custom House and Canning Town. The Charity is run by LOCAL PEOPLE FOR LOCAL PEOPLE. The trustees delegate their power to the general manager (John McNeill) who runs all the essential business and project work of the Charity. John’s first duty is to keep the Trustees properly informed so they can make effective decisions. The Charity also employs a financial administrator (Mike Bowles). The CH&CTCRP has broad charitable objectives to promote purposes beneficial to local people including; the relief of poverty, the advancement of education and training, the preservation and protection of the environment and the provision of recreation in the interest of social welfare to improve the conditions of life of local people.
