Thank you so much for your meditation course, which I found very interesting and made me want to find out more. It was clear, informative and could be aimed at any level. You supported us the whole time and as time went on I felt I could remain focused for longer. I put aside some time first thing in the morning to do the practice and it became a routine which I followed most days. Katie Thank you for holding space for all of us with your big big love wings ✨❤️ Andrea I think the biggest shift was being able to keep up with a regular meditation over a period of time and the meditation becoming part of my daily routine. It was good to get an understanding or hear the student teacher mantra. The format of the webinars worked well, I felt shy at first but then more confident to speak once I found my voice. T.S. It has been a fascinating journey, and one I am so glad to have taken with you as well as the other members of this sangha. I guess I saw it originally as a defence against the trials of the lockdown, but I quickly realised through the use of the myths, the wider discussions and the practice that this was a positive tool to challenge and overcome all the negative energy generated by the lockdown and, actually, beyond. I have found my time with you to be transforming. The positivity you generate and nurture through the yoga, the storytelling, this sangha is most welcome, and long may it continue. Keith I felt a shift in my sense of inner power and finding confidence to keep going be it every day challenges or bigger life changing challenges. Daily practice worked for me and I really liked the initial recording. To someone thinking about joining a similar programme with YogaBright, I would say “do it!”

Jade is the owner of Blossom Therapies, a holistic practice offering several healing modalities: Counselling, Hypnotherapy, Reiki / Intuitive energy healing, and Light Language (like sound healing but with her voice and hands as the instrument, the multi-dimensional channelled sounds going directly where needed in your body and soul). Everything offered was discovered in her personal journey of growth and transformation, and is shared with others in order to help them on their journey. Jade has also worked in the NHS for over 10 years, currently part-time as a staff counsellor, using her knowledge and experience to combine the best from both of these worlds - clinical and spiritual - to deliver the optimum outcome for each client. She offers tailored packages of care for individuals and also runs regular wellbeing workshops for groups using a mixture of education, self-reflection through journaling and reiki infused hypnotherapy and guided meditations. Her goal is to help people blossom into their happier healthier selves, to feel empowered, recognising the lessons in their life and turn them into blessings. To consciously connect to their inner light and resources, which then gifts the world around us as it shines brighter. Part of her overall mission is to help the world raise its vibration, to be full of love, unity and peace. A world where you can be more calm, more confident in yourself and more consciously connected to your loved ones and the Universe.

Redditch

I have practised yoga for over two decades and was totally hooked after my very first class. It was a complete revelation! I walked out of that class like I had woken up and seen things clearly for the first time. My whole body felt free, I was relaxed and could not get over how great I felt. I remember going to work the next day and telling a colleague that I felt "big" (in a good way). This feeling was my energy being released to flourish from whatever trapped state it had been in. My passion for yoga grew as did my personal well-being, and in 2005 when I was given an opportunity to teach, I jumped at the chance. I completed my yoga teacher training with The Devon School of Yoga and then went on to qualify as a Yoga Therapist, certified by Real Yoga, in 2012. I am registered with the Complimentary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC). I am also a Meditation Teacher, having completed my training with Swami Saradananda. I have attended many short courses and workshops with Yoga Campus, London. These courses have been based around many aspects of yoga, the musculoskeletal system and the "correction" of bodily imbalances, which may be prominent due to general wear and tear or injury. I have also completed courses on restorative and relaxation practices, Pranayama and the history of yoga as well as a short Sanskrit course! I teach several general classes online via Zoom and offer in person or online one or two to one sessions at Sharon Gisbourne Yoga. I also run a specialist online chair based class for those who may need a more adapted approach to yoga. Working therapeutically with people one to one online may not be suitable for all conditions, but if you would like further details see the Yoga Therapy page for more details. I have experience of many styles of yoga and have spent time in India to gain knowledge of these various approaches. I like to apply myself with a holistic and eclectic approach that takes in not only the physical but also the more subtle aspects that yoga has to offer. However, although I always present myself as professionally as possible, I do like to keep everything light hearted and have fun at the same time. I have completed my training with Sheila Whittaker and I am now offering sound therapy in the form of gong baths. These are offered as private sessions and I also run group sessions. See the treatments page for further details of how to book.

Honiton

David has nearly forty years of educational experience as a teacher, senior manager, local authority consultant and school improvement adviser. His work with individual and groups of schools across the UK and abroad is always focused on ways of achieving improved outcomes for pupils through the professional development of teachers. David’s annual training programmes around the country attract hundreds of teachers and receive outstanding evaluations. He also contributes to Early Years and Primary SCITT, Teach Direct and university PGCE programmes. Whether working directly with teachers and senior leaders in schools or writing new learning and teaching materials, David always seeks to improve the engagement and raise the performance of children and young people at all stages through the carefully planned progression of key subject knowledge, concepts and skills. David’s focus is always on learning and in particular on identifying challenging subject outcomes which are made accessible to pupils through key question led enquiries both inside and outside of the classroom. He has particular expertise in designing cross curricular learning programmes which integrate the teaching of English and Mathematics as part of relevant and engaging investigations which support pupils to study places, issues, people and events at depth rather than on a superficial level. His enquiry-based approach teaches important subject knowledge whilst emphasising the significance of teachers allowing time and opportunity for pupils to master key subject skills and outcomes by ‘doing less better’. David has been a Harper Collins author at primary and secondary levels for many years and his Primary Connected Geography framework published in 2016 was highly commended by the Geographical Association and was his third such publications award. The corresponding Primary Connected History scheme was published in 2018. As well as Geography and History David also has particular expertise in developing Education for Sustainability (encompassing environmental education, global citizenship and outdoor learning) and associated sustainable schools programmes. In addition to his national programme of Geography and History training David also provides bespoke support to individual or federations of schools and to subject leaders across the United Kingdom and internationally. He teaches regularly. David Weatherly Secondary School Deputy Headteacher I came on your course in January - in fact I also came to one the year before. I just wanted to let you know that I just presented my subject audit to staff and senior management and it was very well received. Lots of people were inspired and it is down to your course. We now have a really clear vision for Geography and we are looking forward to getting together and revitalising our planning for September. We have a lot of changes to make, but the positivity I am getting from people is awesome. I just wanted to say thank you for your help and for inspiring me. Your courses have honestly been the best I have been on in my career. Primary School Deputy Headteacher A fantastic, inspirational course which, as a deputy and English subject leader, I found matched what we want to do in school perfectly. A wonderful antidote to today’s education ‘policy’ - thank you so much. The discussion of the skills that the children needed (at a teacher level) and the assessment teachers should be planning and looking for (at a co-ordinator/managerial level) was beautifully, simply and eloquently presented
