Our story starts in the classroom, but unlike most CPR training companies, it doesn't end there. Our co-founder, Roy Shaw, was a classroom CPR instructor for many years before our company was born in 2003. Roy knew what he was doing was ambitious, so rather than do it on his own, he partnered with Paul Martin and Scott Andersen to help in the early years. Our new team now included a paramedic / CPR instructor, a web developer / marketer, and a graphic designer / video editor. You wouldn't be alone if CPR training makes you think of classrooms and manikins rather than a computer. And in 2003, this was even more true than today. But that didn't stop us from deciding to change everything. After all, CPR training was broken and we were determined to fix it. No more falling asleep in a 4-6 hour class. Why not learn from the comfort of your home. GROWING PAINS AND EARLY WINS Of course, there have been challenges. Nearly a third of Internet users were on dial-up in 2003 and YouTube hadn't been invented yet. But by 2007, things were beginning to change. And that's the year we launched the Internet's first fully video-based CPR course. At this point, we had certified around 80,000 students, our three founders went full-time on the business, and we hired our first two employees to support our customers and gain compliance approvals. Compliance challenges are what led us to create a blended CPR program in 2008. Although online courses are acceptable for many people, there are certain industries where hands-on skills practice is mandatory. First, we built a national instructor network to meet this need. Then, in 2014, we introduced live video conference evaluations and a low-cost SUMO manikin kit to offer our students in-home skills evaluations, making ProTrainings the most compliant (and convenient) CPR course available online. EXPANSION AND NEW VENTURES A lot has changed since the early days. Our team has grown to 35+ people across our U.S. and U.K. offices. We've certified well over a million people and counting. And our free Student CPR program has certified tens of thousands of high school students around the country. Our course catalog has also expanded beyond CPR to include courses such as Bloodborne Pathogens, HIPAA, Hazcom, Fire Safety, Ergonomics, Sexual Harassment, Pet First Aid, Continuing Education content, and more to come. We're still just getting started!

Hi, I'm Beth. I’m a Speech and Language Therapist from Essex, UK. I'm a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, from the UK, with extensive experience working with children with speech, language and communication needs in a range of settings including schools, preschools and clinics. I'm mum to two primary school-aged children, one of whom has special needs. I also provide a regular service to a number of schools in my local geographical area. I have a master’s degree in Health and Human Sciences (MSc), qualifying as a Speech & Language Therapist in 2009. My undergraduate degree (BA Hons) is in Linguistics and Spanish. I’m registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Health and Care Professionals Council and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). I have been the chair of my local ASLTIP group for a number of years, organising regular meetings and suporting a large group of 18 members covering a range of clinical specialisms. I’ve worked with lots of practitioners and staff in schools and preschools throughout my career and I've provided a lot of information, advice, training and support for a variety of Speech and Language topics. As well as training education staff, I also deliver seminars as a guest lecturer to Speech and Language Therapy Students at the University of Essex. These cover a range of topics, including service provision, speech sounds, stammering, vocabulary and word finding, assessment and intervention. I’ve delivered a huge number of training sessions, created by me, on a range of SLCN topics to staff working in schools and preschools. As a result of my training on speech and language issues, dozens of Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Preschool Practitioners have felt empowered to help their students with their speech, language and communication needs. After graduating with a BA(Hons) Fine Art at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, London in 1988, I returned home to Northumberland to work as a photographic artist and silversmith. In 1994 I trained to teach whilst continuing on my own creative journey. I started experimenting with the many processes in the making of felt in 2005. I fell in love with its versatility, being able to paint with a varied palette of dyed wools, create something delicate and ephemeral using fine wools and silks, or use more sculptural techniques to form vessels. In 2008 I was introduced to the many varieties of coloured willows grown locally for basketry and the traditional techniques used to work with them. It excited me and I started using these to create vessels and sculptural forms. In 2011 I set up Biteabout Arts with the intention of creating unique items for sale and delivering a variety of art and craft workshops. We have been renovating the buildings at our smallholding to provide a working environment and somewhere to deliver workshops. Biteabout Farm is a North Northumbrian smallholding consisting of over 7 acres of permanent pasture. It was formally known as Coalshank (sited near to Biteabout Colliery) and also The Red Lion Inn ...'a troublesome little pub' until the 1940s. Badly neglected in more recent years, we took it on in 2002 and started its transformation. With far more work needed than initially anticipated, renovation is still ongoing, but nearing completion. I am now working in my studio and have a program of workshops on offer here. Sculptures are made to commission. Drawing on their creative expertise of materials, processes, 3D form and design, a working partnership between Anna Turnbull and Richard Charters. Working together, they explore the creative possibilities of your idea. The creative process takes time. It starts with collaboration through drawing, discussion and exploration of materials. An animated armature is created in mild steel by Richard, the bones. Anna weaves the flesh, emphasising its muscles and flow, its movement. It is the dialogue between them that brings the creations to life. Each sculpture is unique due to its individually made metal armature and the natural material of willow. Past pieces can be recreated, but each will have its own stance, character, life.

Cuddesdon College was established in 1854 by Bishop Samuel Wilberforce, whose vision was for a college independent of any specific Church faction, and with a focus on the discipline of daily prayer and spiritual formation. A merger with Ripon Hall in the 1970s, forming Ripon College Cuddesdon, brought in new resources and fresh thinking, and helped develop a new and open approach to theological study. The incorporation of the Oxford Ministry Course in 2006 (now the Part-time Pathway), the West of England Ministerial Training Course in 2011 (now Cuddesdon Gloucester & Hereford) and the Portsmouth Pathway Cuddesdon in 2015 has enabled the College to offer a wide range of outstanding part-time courses that have been well established for over forty years. From 2014, a partnership with Church Mission Society has enabled us to offer training for Ordained Pioneer Ministers. The Cuddesdon Sisters In 2012, the remaining Sisters from two Anglican religious orders - Communities of St John Baptist and The Good Shepherd - joined the College community, providing a praying presence throughout the year. Sadly, due to the pandemic, they moved in the autumn of 2020 to St Mary's Convent and Nursing Home in Chiswick. We miss them being here greatly but keep in close contact with them. If you want to be different, just be yourself" Living and being brought up on a hill top farm in Yorkshire. Having a life-long interest in the countryside, health, well-being, affordability, cruelty-free products and using natural products where possible, I bring the best to my clients by doing the best for the environment in the process. A little about me… I studied rural science at school which I enjoyed as it covered life cycle of native animals, plants and trees, natural habitat, conservation and land management at a basic level, art and history also firm favourites. In my late twenties I decided to return to college to pursue a career in hairdressing and soon to be followed, by a two year course in beauty therapy. My passion for natural source of healing combined with plant extracts and massage therapy was realised. At this point I was working full time in a local beauty salon in Skipton, returning to Craven College to study aromatherapy part time for a further year. After gaining valuable experience in the beauty salon, whilst having a young family I worked part time for Next PLC Skipton. This position built my confidence, varied retail business and social skills, working with amazing colleagues, as a sales adviser occasionally a weekend manager. Moving forward I started my own business as a beauty and holistic therapist treating my clients in their own homes or local businesses. Always interested in building and growing my business, I have further trained in several holistic therapies, which include aromatherapy individual blends. I am also a qualified Tai Chi for Health instructor with my own classes in Skipton, Craven and Keighley, support local community wellbeing organisations providing healthy lifestyle activities. My family, friends and clients have always helped and encourage me with my career choice, offering to be guinea pigs when I have required models for new treatments and accepting my flexible working hours. In the past I offered my expertise as a volunteer complementary therapist, aromatherapy practitioner at the local wellbeing cancer support centre in Skipton. I have also held the volunteer position of chairlady of SWIFT (Support Women Inspiring Friendship Training) a local (Skipton Craven Keighley) small business networking group formally known as WorcNet supporting small businesses, charities, local organisations and groups. Due to the pandemic the networking group no longer exists.

CURVE DANCE, previously known as Footloose School of Dance in Leeming & Easingwold has been established for ten successful years. With a new name comes new, modern and fresh classes that not just provide pupils with great exercise but engage them creatively. We strongly believe Dance can educate, improve confidence, social interaction but above all its great fun! Curve Dance love seeing a pupil’s progression not just in their dance ability but in their ability to think creatively and work within a team. We see on a daily basis how allowing pupils to express themselves through movement can assist them in other areas of their life and give them the confidence to think outside the box. Curve Dance work on numerous performances throughout the year, help our pupils achieve their goals and improve their self-confidence. Curve Dance’s principal Kelly has been teaching for ten years, teaching dance to various youth groups, performing arts schools, plus she has choreographed numerous dance performances. From a young age Kelly was a keen dancer and gained numerous grades in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Her love for performing and being on a stage was apparent early on. She performed in local events, Pantomimes and at Disney Land Paris. Kelly began her professional training at Newcastle Colleges Performance Academy and completed a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance. Throughout her three years at Newcastle she gained numerous opportunities to further her knowledge of the arts industry. Her ambition to teach and her interest in choreography grew and after leaving University she decided to become a Freelance Artist. Kelly currently works for North Yorkshire County Council and York City Council providing workshops and choreographing various dance pieces for performances and festivals. As well as running Curve Dance, Kelly currently works in numerous local schools and for North Yorkshire County Council providing creative workshops and choreographing dance pieces for performances. In addition she has been the Pantomime Choreographer at The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond for six years. After several years working freelance, gaining experience of working within the community and project managing large scale dance events. Kelly has the experience and is very ambitious to provide pupils with a captivating insight in to the dance world and plans to incorporate numerous vibrant innovative performance opportunities.

In 2012, David Andrews, alongside colleague Chris Williams formed Mr Andrews Online with a vision to deliver better learning experiences for children using mobile technology. The journey began, as Year 6 teachers, sharing ideas and approaches to global audiences on the award wining blog ‘Mr Andrews Online‘. The blog influenced classroom practice both here in the UK and around the world and went on to win an award at the UK Blog Awards 2014 for its ‘Impact in Education’. In 2016 they won an award for a module run in partnership with Hull Children’s University. Since 2012 David and Chris have worked alongside hundreds of schools, teachers and delivered classroom experience days for children (4-11 year olds) up and down the country. They were lucky enough to be invited to present work in the US on two occasions. In 2014 they began working alongside the National Association of Headteachers to deliver courses. Interestingly, David and Chris had articles published in the Guardian and sold the publications ‘Rapid Progress for Boys’ Writing (Girls’ Too) and ‘Programming Made Easy’ to countries across the world whilst writing articles for various education magazines and publications. In 2017, David was contacted by Lee Wilson, the Executive Principal (Outwood Primaries) as their current ICT scheme of work wasn’t working for them, had become stale and didn’t allow the teachers to exploit cross-curricular opportunities. When asked by Lee “To write a scheme to wow the children and be aspirational” the Mr Andrews Online Creative Computing Curriculum was born. Since this time, David Andrews has been working with a leading Multi Academy Trust as Director of Curriculum. This has led to the development of a World Class Creative Curriculum as well as continuing to innovate in the world of Ed Tech and drive Mr Andrews Online forward. Chris Williams continues to consult with Mr Andrews Online alongside driving the world class product – Chatta, which works on the fundamental approach that oracy unlocks literacy. At the Local Teachers, we helped over 25,000 students in the last 8 years to boost their grades and help them go to their desired universities, we have fostered partnerships with 13 schools in London and 3 councils to help them support pupils with our intervention tuition programs in sciences, Mathematics and English. With that same vision and passion, I have founded Ezy Edtech Ltd to purchase assets as part of the liquidation of EzyEducation Ltd via a CVL to make quality education more accessible in different ways. That purchase transfers the rights of the EzyEducation website, courses, and high-quality book stocks of 10,000 with a commercial value of £5-10 per book to Ezy Edtech Ltd. The goodwill and support of ex EzyEducation employees has also been secured. Moreover, we have renewed all suppliers’ contracts such as the Zapper app, which makes more accessible our revision pocket booklets by pulling the interactive videos lessons, and quizzes from our platform to iOS and Android devices which increasingly more and more students are relying on for their revision routines. The EzyEducation platform and customer relationships benefited from £2.5m of investment and reinvested earnings. This means that Ezy Edtech bypasses the development costs usually associated with start-ups. The platform is currently used by over 150 school users (subscriptions of £200,000 in 2019 and £130,000 during 2021 (revenue decreased due to COVID19 exam cancellations). Although EzyEducation Ltd ceased trading on 14/12/2021 the platform has remained in use through this period with zero disruption for customers. Over this period, we had 188,543 sessions, 90,103 users, and 3.25 million hits. This continuation of user engagement is a clear indication of the success we can build on moving forward. With that strong foundation for success, here are our short-term objectives. At the present our most important objective is to secure renewals for the schools Minimise the service disruptions - renew contracts for all our suppliers and staff where possible. Improve our resources wherever necessary - such as creating more resources to make teachers’ life easier - in doing so, we will be complementing with PowerPoints lectures with the video lessons on the platform – so that teachers do not spend so much time and resources in creating lesson plans but rather focus on delivering and

The earliest known charter still in existence is from 1155 and belongs to the Weavers’ Company. However, it is very likely that there were companies around several centuries before this. Livery refers to the distinctive clothing that each company wore to distinguish themselves from other companies. In 1515 the Lord Mayor established the order of precedence for the existing 48 companies. After then new companies took the next available number. Companies formed after 1925 are known as ‘Modern’ Livery companies with those established before then being known as ‘Ancient’ companies. Concerned with a particular industry, the companies provided a means of guaranteeing the workmanship and trustworthiness of both members and the quality of goods produced. In fact, in order to trade within the City of London, it was necessary to be a Freeman. There are now 110 Livery companies of whom about 70% are still directly connected to their trade through accreditation schemes, apprenticeship programmes and wider support for their trade. Livery companies continue to provide sponsorships, awards, trade support and also have associated charitable operations even if their trade is no longer current. Some companies have modernised with their trade, others have diversified into associated areas. The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT) is 100 in the order of precedence. The Company combines centuries-old tradition with a modern focus, energy, and innovation. Like all Livery companies, we look to give something back to the industry and community, and focus on four areas of activity that we call pillars: Industry – we help to promote and shape the IT industry through our neutral forums and links with industry bodies, such as the BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT and techUK Education – WCIT supports several schools, most notably Lilian Bayliss Technology School and the Hammersmith Academy which WCIT helped to build and endow in a joint venture with the Mercers’ Company Fellowship – there is a full programme of social activity, both formal and informal. Unusually for a modern Livery company, we have our own Hall and we also use other Livery Halls for various events throughout the year. Charity – the WCIT Charity raises funds through events and donations. It makes grants to charities to promote the use of IT and improve the quality of life for those who are disadvantaged.
