Furthermore, we strongly believe that the future of medicine will not be one-dimensional and therefore at MedAhead, we encourage the pursuit of complimentary interests. For example, students with interests in art, coding or nutrition are taught to develop these talents, providing abstract solutions to real-life healthcare problems. In recognition of the competitive nature of medicine, our platform offers 1:1 interview and personal statement coaching. Students are paired with an experienced NHS doctor to help guide them through the entire process. Moreover, we encourage our doctors to go beyond admissions support, forming a role of advice, mentorship and inspiration.

Our story begins in March 2014, with Paul Evans. He was wearing a pair of Paul Smith socks when he realised it was the right time for him to move on from his job. Paul sat in the shed of his new home’s garden. He thought to himself: “what do I do next?” He realised he had two options: he could take another corporate job or start a new company. One day, surrounded by laughs and a table full of pizza, the conversation between Paul and his four friends — Bruno Lopes, Guilherme Almeida, José Fonseca, and Sofia Reis — turned to the future and how they could all build something amazing together. linnet workshops

About Linnet Workshops was set up in 2019 by Devon based artist Grace Coombes. With a life long passion for making and creating, Grace has developed a wide range of art and craft based Workshops that focus on the varied processes of making imagery through print, collage, book arts and more. 
 Grace enrolled in an Art Foundation Course at Falmouth University and then went on to study Illustration at Brighton University. She later developed a love for printmaking which feeds into many of the creative sessions on offer. Her prints have been exhibited at MAKE Southwest (formerly Devon Guild of Craftsman) and Ocean Studios, Plymouth. 
 Choosing and using materials with the environment in mind is extremely important to the Linnet Workshops ethos. Where possible recycled papers, cards and many other materials are used. Left over materials are saved for future workshops or recycled.

We have built a very strong track record of delivering inspiring careers programmes and highly effective guidance to students. EC Careers employs 20 qualified and experienced Careers Advisers, who offer impartial careers guidance and a caring approach to all students. All Careers Advisers are qualified to Level 6 or 7, who uphold the CDI’s professional code of ethics, undertake regular safeguarding and CPD training and who have enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) status.
