Langport

For Every Cloud was established by Donna Vale in 2013, a creative venue based in Langport, a small town in the heart of the Somerset levels. Having graduated with a first class honors degree in art and textiles I wanted to create a space where people can learn, have fun, relax and make friends, this is really important but I also wanted an environment where visitors wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. My business mission statement ‘where friendship and creativity meet’ sums up the ethos of what we do at For Every Cloud. A shop and gallery stocking local art and craft features alongside my own. Workshops are held in the gallery space and studio, which is also used to teach screen printing. Both spaces can be hired by tutors and artists alike utilising their skills to teach popular classes such as needle felting. The workshop list is varied and attracts people from as far as London, France and Denmark who come with friends and family to stay in this beautiful part of the country, booking days to make and take… and of course have tea and cake. From experimental textiles to bookbinding, etching with Perspex to calligraphy, there is something here for everyone. I work alongside local B&B’s and cafes to provide an all round experience, offering bespoke events for hen parties, corporate functions and children’s birthdays and more recently, a summer school for adults. As well as workshops I create bespoke calligraphy and stationery for weddings, sublimation printing for personalised gifts. A signmaking service is also available for all your business and personal needs. Whether you need a new shop front or graphics for your vehicle, we are happy to help with the design and installation.

I’ve spent most of my adult life helping people to improve their health, feel calmer and more open and loving. I’m a: Wellness expert with over 20 years of experience Author of the best-selling book “The Blissful Breath” Certified Level 3 Wim Hof Method instructor Level 3 is the highest level of expertise awarded to instructors Teacher of coherent breathing and Breath-Body-Mind techniques Herbalist Expert in shamanic healing Ceremonial cacao facilitator Teacher of reiki Former international athlete Host of The Breathe With Níall Podcast MY PURPOSE We can transform how we feel and think by using our breath, nature and the cold. It has worked for many, many people around the world, including me: helping me become a better father, a better husband and a better person. That is why I have dedicated the over 20 years to helping people find natural ways of restoring and improving their strength, health and happiness. HOW I GOT STARTED WITH WIM HOF It was late and dark. I was sitting on the floor waiting for the printer to finish printing my Wim Hof Method 10-week course manual. “I’ll give this a go when I’m waiting,” I thought, clicking the play button. “What’s he saying? Breathe fully in, and what? Let go.” I started doing this breathing and I immediately knew I had found something special. Strain Back then, my life was harder. I was exhausted most of the time. I was happy, but run down. Four young children are hard to raise. I was trying to be a great father, a great husband, keep my career going, while starting a new one. My health was good, but the strain was starting to show.

I studied Art & Design at Stourbridge Art College in the West Midlands for three years, before moving to West Sussex to gain an Art with Related Arts degree at Chichester University. My sculpture work featured nationally on ITV’s morning programme. Exhibitions of my work include West Dean College and Worthing Museum and Art Gallery, West Sussex. I have also had the privilege of exhibiting my work in the Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition, Tokushima, Japan. Along with exhibitions at; Banks Mill Studios Derby, The Art House Wakefield, neo: Gallery Bolton, Gallery@OXO Oxo Tower Wharf South Bank London, Greenpea press Huntville Alabama, Hong Kong Baptist University Hong Kong and Cube gallery Moscow. After a period focusing on other art disciplines, I returned to printmaking and the joy of the process is what pushes my work forward creatively. Learning different printing methods has helped me to begin experimenting with distinctive approaches to my prints and printing style. I continue to enjoy drawing and working painterly with a variety of mixed media, developing my own instinctive style over many other art disciplines. After gaining my degree I went on to achieve my teaching qualifications, to teach 16+ students. I then gained my Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS) professional status, which enables me to teach through all age groups (pre and post 16). I have been teaching Art classes in the West Sussex area for 20 years, both for local Adult Education and Chichester College, along with my own private workshops. I enjoy, and have taught, a wide variety of Arts & Crafts subjects and have an extensive & practical knowledge of many areas of the arts. Currently, I teach subjects as varied as Life Drawing, Watercolour, iPad Painting, Acrylics, Pastels and Chinese Brush Painting. I have also taught Pottery, Weaving, Face Painting and numerous craft classes. I am always striving to learn and pass on new techniques and ideas to my students. I hold a Level 3 NVQ in British Sign Language and am currently studying for my Level 6 NVQ. I also teach in this subject.
