Aims Participants will undertake a concise yet equally engaging training program covering all essential aspects of enforcing health and safety codes of practice at construction sites. Topics include in-depth discussions on risk assessments and effective methods for monitoring and managing industry-specific hazards. Instructions For online courses labeled “Remote Learning,” a tutor will deliver the training via video call. All SMSTS courses are delivered and assessed in English. Learn how to test portable electrical appliances with a qualification in Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Testing aimed at new starters to the testing of portable electrical equipment with minimal electrical knowledge. This qualification is aimed at those with responsibilities for the maintenance of electrical equipment and for those undertaking practical inspection and testing of electrical equipment. It allows those with the responsibility for the testing and inspection of electrical equipment to gain a qualification suitable to their job role. The qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required to inspect and test items of electrical equipment in line with the latest edition of the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment. Learners completing the qualification will have the ability to carry out mandatory responsibilities within the workplace depending on their prior electrical knowledge This level will suit you if you are looking to become involved in, the inspection and testing of electrical equipment. To successfully complete the qualification learners will have to sit an Evolve on-line test comprising of a 50 MCQ and a practical assignment. The practical consists of 3 tasks which are: Task 1 is inspect and test Class I equipment, Task 2 is inspect and test Class II equipment (this will be either unearthed metal or without unearthed metal or Class II FE – Learners will not need to do all 3 of these, they only need to do one type), Task 3 is completing the record forms

If you have something crafted this beautifully then Hannah wants to see it! Romantasy of varying spice levels, accessible to both romance and fantasy readers, is on Hannah's wishlist. And you can whisk her away with contemporary romance novels, romcoms, sweeping love stories that redefine the genre. Romcoms with great disability rep and LGBTQIA+ stories that focus on the joy of falling in love are high on Hannah's agenda. She particularly loves Emily Henry, Laura Wood and Abby Jiminez. Think more Nicholas Sparks than Sally Rooney, and Bonnie Garmus rather than Gabrielle Zevin. In this space, she is a big fan of Emma Donoghue, Bonnie Garmus and Jojo Moyes. Training & Networking - Getting ready for the NEW Code of Fundraising Practice This session highlights the main changes in the NEW Code of Fundraising Practice that comes into effect on 1 Nov 2025. It will also give tips about what hospices need to be doing to be compliant. John Brady John is a highly experienced fundraising manager and leader with over 25 years of experience, the last 20 being at the most senior level in the organisation worked in. Working as a Senior Leader, Executive Director or Chief Executive he has a wide range of experience of managing and leading teams, strategic development, financial analysis, fundraising compliance and management of a broad range of fundraising specialisms such as Events, Trusts and Foundations, Corporate, Charity Retail, Individual Giving and Legacies, with specialist experience within Individual Giving. That has included introducing or developing regular giving programmes, managing gaming products such as society weekly lotteries and raffles, developing or creating direct mail programmes and telephone campaigns. John’s first professional fundraising role was as Divisional Manager at the British Lung Foundation (now Asthma and Lung UK) and has worked for a number of other charities including, Alcohol Focus Scotland, Sense Scotland, Erskine, and as Chief Executive of OneKind. John’s last role was at St Andrew’s Hospice where he led income growth in Individual Giving by leading the introduction of an Appeals programme and the tripling of the Lottery to £1.1 million per year. John joined the sector in 1998 following the death of his younger brother at a young age due to stomach cancer. This instilled in John a passionate belief about the difference charities can make to making the world a better place somehow. John champions ethical fundraising and so joined the Chartered Institute of Fundraising becoming chair of the Institute of Fundraising in Scotland and was made a Fellow in 2016. He was a member of several committees and working groups focussing on reviewing and enhancing fundraising regulation and compliance. He has been a Board member of the Hospice Income Generation Network and Enable Scotland and is currently Chair of Enable Trustee Services.

She joined the Darley Anderson team in 2018, and as well as building an engaging and diverse list of authors and illustrators, she was promoted to Director in March 2024.
