About this Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) Electrical machines, mainly power transformers and electric motors are critical equipment that run production, and it must operate without any abnormalities. A wide variety of tests and standards have been developed to assist manufacturers and users of motors and transformer winding, assess the condition of the electrical insulation. The objective of this training course is to provide an understanding of power transformers and electric motors, their materials, components, and how they operate. It will also emphasize the importance of transformer life management, especially for those transformers and electric motors which have been in operation for than 10 years. The course will address in detail all aspects related to transformer principles, calculations, operation, testing and maintenance. Training Objectives This course aims to provide participants with the understanding of the fundamentals and constructional features of power transformers and electric motors, with particular reference to the design, testing, operation and maintenance of transformers in power systems. Delegates will gain a detailed appreciation of the following: Practical solutions for specifying, operating and maintaining power transformers and electric motors in a utility or plant environment Comprehensive understanding of principles, protection, maintenance and troubleshooting of power transformers and electric motors The necessary safe procedures relating to transformer operation and related circuitry Understand the principles of operation of the transformer and electric motors Identify the different features of power transformers and electric motors Appreciate the principles of transformer design, ratings, winding, core structure and materials, insulation and cooling methods, insulation and lifetime Utilize thermal limits and loading guides of transformers Analyze transformer and electric motors failure modes Target Audience Engineers of all disciplines Managers Technicians Maintenance personnel Other technical individuals Course Level Basic or Foundation Training Methods The VILT will be delivered online in 4 half-day sessions comprising 4 hours per day, with 1 x 10 minutes break per day, including time for lectures, discussion, quizzes and short classroom exercises. Virtual Classroom – Our hi tec virtual learning suite enables you as the trainee to experience exactly the same course and level of interaction with a trainer as though you were in the same room as them. This isn’t a slideshow-based course, it’s a real tutor, in a real room taking you through all you need to know to be successful in your City and Guilds 2391 – 52. Utilising equipment and software, the theoretical part of the course will be taught over 3 days via the internet. During this time, you will be taught the theory-based elements below, also allowing ample time for questions face to face with the tutor. The instructor will go through everything that you will be expected to know about Inspection and Testing on both new and existing installations. You will be given access to our dedicated online portal to work through sample questions in your own time until the information becomes second nature to you. Your only hardware prerequisite for this part of the course is access to the internet, whether it be on a computer or a smart device. The second stage of the course will involve you attending one of our numerous training centres around the UK, for both the practical training and the examinations over a 2.5 day period. This will be booked for a later date and one of our team will be in touch with you to arrange this. During your time at one of our centres you will be taught the inspection and testing practical elements you require on individual training rigs, with equipment and testers for each and every individual person. (Our centres are ALL Covid secure and the training bays, etc are all socially distanced). This City & Guilds qualification is aimed at practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update of training. This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally install and carry out initial verification and periodic inspection and testing on electrical installations. It is expected that suitable candidates have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science and principles and experience of electrical installation work. This is an essential skill for any electrical installer.

Description Sterile Services Technician Diploma Sterile services technicians provide equipment and materials required by hospitals to carry out their various duties. These technicians collect reusable instruments from operating theatres, wards and clinics, disinfect them and make sure that they are clean and working properly. The sterilised instruments are then delivered to the hospital by trolley. The work of sterile service technicians begins by assembling instruments and supplying items like dressings, syringes and needles and arranging them in trays or packs according to standard procedures. The packs or trays are sealed, labelled and sterilised in steam. Large items of medical equipment are disinfected with the help of specialised equipment. Sterile services Technicians generally work as a team and are considered to be an integral part of the healthcare team. They report to the manager of the sterile services department (also referred to as decontamination service) and their services are available 37 hours a week. In larger departments, staff may provide their services 24/7, in which case staff may be employed in shifts. Sterile services departments can be found within hospitals or separately, and they could be run by commercial providers or hospital management. A sterile services technician can, with experience, climb to the position of assistant manager and then on to service management. Sterile services technicians can be found mostly at National Health Service (NHS) hospitals around the UK, but they are also found at private hospitals, health centres and dental practices. The sterile services sector presently employs around 20,000 people, and there are always vacancies in this field, which can be found in the local press or NHS website. Information regarding vacancies in this sector can also be found at Jobcentre Plus Offices. The course in sterile services technician covers prevention and control of infections, transporting and containment of reusable medical devices, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, assembly and packaging, function testing, inspection, sterilisation and storage and distribution of equipment. What you will learn 1: Overview 2: Cleaning and Packaging 3: Sterilization 4: Quality Management in Sterilizing Services 5: Thermal and Chemical Disinfection Course Outcomes After completing the course, you will receive a diploma certificate and an academic transcript from Elearn college. Assessment Each unit concludes with a multiple-choice examination. This exercise will help you recall the major aspects covered in the unit and help you ensure that you have not missed anything important in the unit. The results are readily available, which will help you see your mistakes and look at the topic once again. If the result is satisfactory, it is a green light for you to proceed to the next chapter. Accreditation Elearn College is a registered Ed-tech company under the UK Register of Learning( Ref No:10062668). After completing a course, you will be able to download the certificate and the transcript of the course from the website.
