We started with one person, a piece of blank paper and a simple idea of the time was 1st July 2009. INSPIRING MILLIONS Our mission statement is to inspire. We inspire our members with daily drops of inspirational and educational knowledge. We have been endorsed by some of the world’s leading scholars such as Mufti Ismail Menk, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, Shaykh Yusuf Badat, Shaykj Omar Sulemain, Yasmin Mogahed and many more.When we first started we had 100 members on our Facebook Page. Within 6 months we had 500,000 and in less than a year we had 1 million members. We’re now at over 15 million and growing Alhamdulillah. CONNECTING OUR GLOBAL UMMAH The strength of social media is that it connects millions of Muslims from different parts of the world together. With the generosity of one of our members, HOTD sent 10 members on an all expenses paid trip to Makkah and Madinah. Only low-income families were permitted to enter and when we made the phone calls to the winners, every single person broke down in tears. Some of the people who won could not afford applying for a passport so our donor also covered those costs.

London Writing School offers online writing workshops designed to offer some inspiration, make you think about the craft of writing and carve out some time in the day to get pen to paper. Our paid courses allow you develop an idea at your own pace. Who are the workshops for? Perhaps you want to give writing a go but aren’t sure what will happen. Maybe you used to write and want to get back to it. Or you write, but would like more structured inspiration and a practice session. The sessions are designed so that you can make the most of them whatever stage you're at. What do we do? We usually have a warm up exercise around the theme of the workshop, do a little bit free writing, and then there’s a chance to build a more structured scene that could go on to become a short story, or even spark an idea for a novel. If you are full of ideas we hope to bring them into sharper focus, if you’re feeling a bit creatively empty we aim to fill you up and get you going again. Do we share work? In the free sessions we don’t read out work or share it with others. Come and experiment with no judgement. About the teacher I've been shortlisted for various awards and schemes including the BBC Writers’ Room, Crime Writers Association Debut Dagger, Theatre 503 seed commissions and the Launch Pad Manuscript Competition. I write in different forms. My work has been on stage in London, audio drama 'The Grove' has thousands of downloads and my novel 'A Company of Roses' is available on Amazon. I have an MA in Screenwriting and a PGCE from Goldsmiths University where my focus was on creativity.

VT began in 1998 providing computer and ITC solutions for teachers. It gradually grew from requests and questions from teachers at my school and teachers at inservices I had given. I published questions and links online in the Virtual Teacher website, so everyone could have easy access. It contained Online Lesson Plans, Great Sites, Free Stuff, Tips, Time savers, and templates etc. In 2000, I was giving more seminars and inschool tutorials at a number of schools and setting up computer networks. I was linking up with many teachers with lots of questions, who wanted fresh inspiration and ideas, so the VT Newsletter was born. Here are the Archival Newsletters click to view them, these were amongst the earliest educational newsletters on the web. In all I wrote 156 of them between 2000 and 2008 until events, time and the world changed. I am still currently sending newsletters out, the next one will be Number 248. Location Most of our activities are based at Little Barton: a beautiful 24 acre site in Littlehempston, South Devon, overlooking the River Dart. Little Barton is an exciting new permaculture project, which we will be helping the landowners to develop as part of our learning activities, such as: establishing a large forest garden and nut orchard, perennial and annual vegetable beds, cut flower beds, a wildflower meadow, a wild woodland and much more... We also occasionally offer training and events at other inspiring locations, and can deliver bespoke courses and workshops at a location of you choice by arrangement.
