We are excited to announce the Online version of the Step by Step Course. It will include live demonstrations of the process that you will then follow. Unique opportunity to be guided step by step and experience meditative practice of icon painting.

⭐ This is a 10-week online course for toddlers (13-24months) and their parents/carers. Baby signing can benefit ANY family with a baby or toddler. Clear communication can especially reduce frustrations for families with toddlers, helping you avoid some of the toddler turbulence🌪️ before it begins.

Aimed at those who already speak Spanish but haven't practiced in a while or have lost their confidence in their ability to communicate in Spanish. During this single three-hour session, we will be meeting in the charming streets of Edinburgh, where we'll embark on a leisurely walk (weather permitting) and indulge in some wonderful Spanish tapas. As we stroll and enjoy some food, we'll refresh your Spanish skills, covering all the essential vocabulary and structures you're likely to use during your upcoming holiday. One non-alcoholic drink of your choice is included in the price of the course, however food isn't (but the tapas are worth every penny!). We offer flexible location options – just let us know your preference. You will leave feeling confident, motivated and ready to speak Spanish while abroad. *If you would like to take part in this session with your partner or a friend, you can do so! There is a £20 charge per additional participant, with a maximum of three participants per session including yourself. If you wish to book for more than one person, just proceed with the booking as normal and then let us know in the notes and we will contact you shortly to arrange payment for the additional participants.

THE PANEL Sam Foster - Chief Nursing Officer - Oxford University Teaching Hospitals Sam joined the Board of Oxford University Hospitals NHSFT in September 2017 as an experienced Chief Nurse who previously worked at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust where she held the role of Chief Nurse for four years. Sam has also worked in a number of Trusts in clinical, operational and educational roles. Sam's portfolio includes the professional leadership and education of over 5,000 Nurses, Midwives and AHPs. In addition to the Executive leadership of the Trust Facilities and PFI Services, she is accountable for the Estates and delivery of the capital program. Sam leads the Urgent Care program across the Oxfordshire system. Avey Bhatia - Chief Nursing Officer - Guys & St Thomas’ NHS Trust Avey Bhatia is Chief Nurse at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust. Avey returned to the Trust as Chief Nurse in November 2020, having trained as a critical care nurse at St Thomas’ in the early part of her career. Avey qualified in 1991 and her clinical experience includes theatres, general intensive care, coronary care and cardiothoracic nursing. She held various staff nurse and sister posts at hospitals in London before becoming Chief Nurse and Director of Infection Prevention and Control at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2017.  Avey holds a postgraduate diploma in health services management and a Masters in Public Administration. She is also the Trust’s Director of Patient Experience, and the executive lead for adults’ and children’s safeguarding, and for infection, prevention and control. Beyond Guy’s and St Thomas’, Avey is Vice President for the Florence Nightingale Foundation and Honorary Vice President of The Nightingale Fellowship. She is a Trustee for the St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group.  Caroline Alexander CBE - Group Chief Nurse - Barts NHS Trust Caroline graduated as a nurse in 1987 from Edinburgh University (BSc/RGN) and has an MSc in Nursing Studies from South Bank University (2001). From 1987 to 1993 she specialised in nursing older people in Edinburgh and then London at Guy’s Hospital as a ward sister. Caroline then worked for the Foundation of Nursing Studies for three years supporting nurses to use research in practice. In 1998 Caroline returned to the NHS and worked in Tower Hamlets in a range of roles within older people’s services. In 2005, Caroline took up her first Director post, as Director of Nursing and Therapies within Tower Hamlets PCT. With the clustering of PCTs in London in 2011, she took on the Director of Nursing and Quality within NHS East London and the City initially and then within NHS North East London when the clusters merged in 2012. until she joined NHS England as Regional Chief Nurse for London in April 2013. Caroline took up her current role of Chief Nurse for Barts Health in March 2016. Caroline was a 2008 Florence Nightingale Leadership Scholar and has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from City, University of London in 2017, Middlesex University in 2018 and University of East London in 2021. She is a Trustee of the Foundation of Nursing Studies. In 2020 she was made a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours. Who will attend? 1 - 1 Guitar lessons for beginners.  Adults and children welcome. Classes are taught via Zoom. Hi! My name is Iain and I’m a Guitar addict. I’ve been learning since I was 10 years old and have fallen in love with playing Guitar over and over again over the last 30 (or more) years. I started teaching Music in 2003. At the time I was doing a World Music degree at SOAS, studying everything from West African Blues to Indian Raga. My first teaching gig was at an after school club and I immediately loved teaching Music. After graduating I got a job as Music teacher at Carlton Primary School and over the next several years I taught Music and Guitar for Hackney and Camden Music services. This gave me the opportunity to work in many different schools, teaching whole classes, small groups and one to one lessons. Working in such a wide variety of settings was the best experience any young teacher could hope for.  In 2012 I got my teaching qualification form the University of East London and went to work for Beal High School in Ilford. I started as a Guitar/Music teacher and then moved into their Autistic provision as a class teacher. This really made me aware of the importance of teaching in a way that suits the individual’s needs and avoiding a ‘one size fits all’ approach to education. In 2015 I started work as a Music teacher for Harmeny Education Trust in Edinburgh. Harmey provides for children who have experienced significant trauma in their early lives and takes a therapeutic approach to education. It’s a great place to work and we’re now working on expanding from just Music lessons to doing media projects as well – making Youtube videos and podcasts and exploring all sorts of ways to record and express ourselves. I have always done small bits of private teaching alongside school work and in January 2020 I decided to start a proper Guitar teaching business. And then 2 months later the pandemic hit and lockdowns started! But, as they say, necessity is the mother of invention and I’ve been lucky to find some wonderful students online who are learning via Zoom and also expand my Youtube channel along the way.
