I'm a previously P.E hating yoga fanatic who been practising yoga for 24 years and teaching for 7. I always saw myself as a nerdy, non-athletic kid in school until I discovered yoga and the benefits it has on both the body and the mind. When I was going through my teacher training I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Although this diagnosis has been in a lot of ways a negative for me there has also been positives. It has changed the way I practise yoga and the way I teach - it has made me so aware of how yoga can help people with physical limitations like me own, and how it can help people deal with mental affects of these conditions. I am now a Yoga Alliance, British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Federation of Northern Ireland certified teacher who was nominated for Yoga Provider of the Year 2019 in the Health and Fitness Awards NI and winner of the Yoga Instructor of the Year 2020/2021 in the Prestige awards Northern Ireland, specialising in a completely inclusive yoga, bringing yoga to everyone no matter what your physical limitations are. I bring yoga to people who aren't able to go to a 'standard' class, people who can't leave the house, people who didn't think yoga could ever be something they could do.

My lovely mum sent me to a yoga class in my late teens. She planted a seed and the seed grew. Having practised yoga since 1993 and taught since 1999, I have an understanding of how yoga and healing are fundamentally the same. Curing is what mainstream or complimentary medicine may or may not do. Healing is what happens after the Doctors, medicine, surgery and technology have finished. Healing comes from within. I have been through many life experiences including illness, surgery, bereavement, divorce, loss of job, loss of income and bringing up two lovely daughters now in their twenties. Yoga has given me inner strength at times of stress and difficulty for which I am grateful. This has taught me to take life's ups and downs as periods of growth and change. As a teacher I offer my experience of yoga to help explore the possibilities for you. I have contracts to teach yoga to employees of several large Blue Chip Corporations. I currently teach group classes each week in Bristol, as well as private one to one sessions. The breath is the heart of yoga practise. Breathing affects every cell of our being. It brings vital energy into the body. As we learn to watch our breath we let go of old patterns and new energy flows creating new possibilities.

Women's Health Specialist,I wanted to share my personal story with you…these are my 2 little girls (Maisie 4 1/2 years and Iona 21 months old) and I do what I do because of them (literally).I have had 2 amazing pregnancies and births. Maisie was born in the birth pool at the hospital and weighed 7lb 4oz. No drugs and no tears so a normal, straightforward birth. 12 weeks after having her I jumped straight back into an intense fitness regime (way way way too soon!!). Certain exercises made me lea…k slightly but that’s normal right??? I’ve just had a baby. 2 years later and I’m pregnant with Iona. Very similar pregnancy all went well (just tired from running around after a toddler and fitting in clients and classes in between!!). We had a home birth with Iona and she weighted 7lb 11oz – again no drugs and no tears. Second time round it took me longer to get back to intense exercise (for me juggling the needs of 2 children was so much harder than 1). The first class I went back to after Iona (must have been about 9 months post-partum). It included exercises like box jumps, double unders and I basically wet myself!! My body just wasn’t ready for this kind of intense exercise.
