First Aid at Work is a 3 day course 1 day is delivered on line. If you are already qualified just choose the 2 day option to requalify and you skip the online element. The course is suitable for people who work in high risk workplaces and covers the worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor stuff and goes on to cover common injuries and conditions a first aider might come accross. Initial training: 1 day online learning 2 days in the Splat classroom. Initial training is a BLENDED course meaning that 6 hours of work must be completed online BEFORE the start of the course. Without this completed online element delegates will not be able to attend training and places cannot be refunded. Registration for the online element will be sent separately when booking is complete. Requalifier: If you have a **current First Aid at Work Certificate** you need only attend the 2 classroom days. You can choose this option at booking. First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. Please note that First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and Recovery Position. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in, and, if possible, please let us know ahead of time if there is anything we can do to help support you and your enjoyment of the day.

We offer the option to book GWO First Aid as an initial training course or as a refresher course.

The IMI Award in MOT Test Centre Management, has been developed with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to provide learners with the qualification, knowledge and skills necessary to manage MOT Vehicle Test Centres. What you will achieve Successful completion will give you a valuable academic qualification recognised by the DVSA that demonstrates your skill and knowledge necessary to successfully run and manage an MOT station on a day to day basis as well as fully understanding the DVSA’s legislative and compliance requirements. Course Overview The MOT Test Centre Manager Training course and assessment is normally ran over 2 1/2 days in total with the 1/2 day revision and online test often ran a few days after the initial training to allow candidates time to absorb the information. The main focus of the courses will teach you how to: manage the legislative and compliance knowledge required to manage an MOT test centre effectively encourage improvements in customer service develop and supervise staff with an MOT centre understand the MOT test centre quality systems and audits Assessment is by an open book online IMI test. Who Should Attend The MOT Test Centre Manager Training qualification is primarily developed for learners who wish to run an MOT Vehicle Test Station (VTS), or who will have direct responsibility for MOT operations at the VTS in the future. There are no formal entry qualifications for this course but learners MUST possess a good standard of written and spoken English as all MOT manuals, training and testing is conducted in English.

Complementing the ‘Zones of Regulation’, or as a stand alone self regulation technique, Snappy Tappy® provides a practical and accessible method for children and young people to modify/calm the emotions they are feeling ‘in the moment’ or ‘after the event’, to help them feel LESS;  • anxious  • angry  • fearful  • frustrated  • overwhelmed  • shame  • hurt  or any other emotion which is distracting them, pre occupying them or preventing them being ‘in  the green zone’ or in a balanced emotional state.     Snappy Tappy® which is an adaptation of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an evidence-  based modality. It is often referred to as Tapping by practitioners and users because that is what  we do.    Tapping works with the body’s internal energy systems similar to Acupuncture. However, where  Acupuncture uses needles, Tapping uses stimulation of the meridians using gentle finger tapping  pressure, while simultaneously focussing on the current difficulty. This dual attention helps your  brain process whatever might be troubling you.    Snappy Tappy® training takes place over two sessions both 3-4 hours long. The initial training introduces the background to Tapping, examines other adaptations of EFT and gets you ready for your own Snappy Taps and case studies. These are then reviewed 2 months later and you’re on your way to helping children and young people with Snappy Tappy®.
