Our engaging Public Venue First Aid Courses attract a wide range of workplaces and are conducted in a way which means that we can qualify those who need the standard HSE Compliant Workplace Courses, as well as those professionals who work with children, requiring the Ofsted recognition. HOW THE DAY WORKS 0900-1600 ALL learners undertake the HSE Recognised face to face learning with one of our experienced trainers. 1600-1700 Paediatric (EPFA & PFA) learners undertake an additional 1hr workshop, the Ofsted Recognised face to face learning with one of our experienced trainers. Blended Learning Those who require the 2 day Paediatric First Aid Courses are required to do an additional 6 hours of online learning, which will be provided by Certifi Training. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing adequate first aid equipment and approved first aid training to the appointed first aider.

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Half Day | Four Hours Cost:  £45 + vat per person SYLLABUS A range of First Aid for Mental Health related subjects are covered, including: What is First Aid for Mental Health? Identifying mental health conditions Providing advice and starting a conversation Stress Mental health conditions CERTIFICATION Level 1 Award in Awareness for First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner must complete the full course again to re-qualify for a further three years. Maximum of 16 people First Aid • Mental Health One of our standout offerings is our In-Person Workshops on First Aid for Mental Health. These Workshops are designed to help participants understand mental health better, recognise signs of mental health issues in others and learn how to provide initial help and guide a person towards appropriate professional help. Mental Health is just as important as physical health, yet it often gets overlooked in traditional First Aid Training Programmes. We aim to change this at APLUS Medical Services & Training by providing comprehensive Mental Health First Aid Training. Our interactive and engaging Workshops provide participants with practical skills they can use in real-life situations. Airway Management Airway Management Training Course Three Hours Cost:  £50 + vat per person This 3-hour course will equip learners with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise on how to manage a casualty’s airway in the event of an emergency. The course is suitable for First Aiders, pre-hospital care providers and those working in high-risk environments. SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered, including: The respiratory system Principles of airway management Airway examination and assessment The airway management ladder Practical training CERTIFICATION Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual throughout the course and issue a non-regulated certificate of achievement where the required level of attainment has been met. NUMBERS A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course. Age limit Learners must be a minimum of 16 years of age to attend the course. First Aid • Life-Saving Skills First Aid Training is not just a Course; it’s a life-saving skill everyone should possess. This responsibility extends to providing immediate and effective First-Aid Care when necessary. We understand that learning is best achieved through practical application. That’s why we offer In-Person Workshops on First Aid. These workshops provide hands-on experience under the guidance of our highly qualified trainers. You’ll have the opportunity to practice what you’ve learned in a controlled environment before you need to apply it in real life. Upon completion of a First-Aid Qualification, employers can be assured that they have highly-trained personnel capable of responding swiftly and effectively to any First-Aid needs. This fulfils legal obligations and contributes to a safer, more caring work environment for all. Learners must hold a valid First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate in order to attend the course. This accredited Two-Day First-Aid at Work Course is designed for those who currently hold a First-Aid Qualification that is due to expire and meets the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982. The Certificate is valid for 3 years and will expire from the date on the certificate.
