Millinery taster class You will be given a overview of millinery materials, techniques and styles and walk away with a fascinator.

the stained glass summer class at rainbow glass studios August 7th - 11th 2023 is designed to teach all the traditional techniques needed to make a large stained glass panel. This class is for all abilities and is carried out in a well equipt studio in London.

Make an amazing 5' tall living willow sculpture for your garden from freshly cut live willow. Your sculpture will continue to grow for years, simple maintence retains the size and shape whilst providing new deep red withies for you to cut and weave with each year. You will learn some basic weaving techniques and learn about how the willow is grown and processed. Learn about woodworking hand tools & woodworking machinery

Make this unusual Polish basket using English willow. You will be able to choose your own combination of willows making your basket truly individual. During the day you will learn several key weaving techniques and find out how the willow is grown, harvested and processed The course is suitable for beginners or improvers. Refreshments included. A short workshop to get to know your sewing machine and gain confidence in stitching seams and topstitching. Problem solving and threading up also covered.

Get together with friends and family and learn the art of building a beautiful hand-tied bouquet of the best seasonal flowers. Mix a gorgeous selection of flowers, fillers and foliage using the 'spiralling' technique used by the pros to make your bouquet and gain lots of flower hacks, tips and tricks along the way. We finish by tying, wrapping and presenting and you'll leave with your floral creation to enjoy at home and the ability to do it all again.

Long hair should also be tied back when working with the equipment. You may also wish to bring a notebook. We have handouts for many demonstrations, but there are always many tips and tricks given verbally by the tutor, which some might like to keep note of. This mosaic workshop for adult beginners is led by Lindsey, who has worked in 3 and 2D design, along with many years experience of teaching art, design and mosaics. During this one day workshop you will learn how to apply a range of tiles using the direct method onto an MDF or plywood base. There will be a large collection of tile material to choose from and you don’t need any previous design or craft experience. You will learn how to create a colourful mosaic design, use tile nippers safely and learn how to apply tiles to a backing board. There will be a choice of bases to work on. The aim is to explore this fascinating craft in a relaxed and friendly environment.
