Sensory impairment is an issue that can effect anyone, this course aims to give the learner the knowledge and skills to help their client maintain their independance as much as possible.

Learn to use your overlocker! Bring your overlocker to class and I will teach you all you need to know about threading it, changing it from 3/4 thread and back, changing the needles, adjusting stitch length and differential feed etc. I only have one overlocker here and in any case it is definititely something you want to do on your own, so you will need to bring your machine to this class.

This course aims to give the learner the skills and knowledge to assist in the care of a client with a PEG. Covering conditions, hygiene, risks and complications.

This is an indepth course aimed to give the learner the skills and knowledge to assist with the care of a client who has had a colostomy. 

Catheters are used to help when someone has difficulty urinating, this course aims to provide the learner with the knowledge on what may cause these difficulties, what their role will entail, infection control, equiptment, risks and complications associated with a catheter.

This lovely gentle introduction to baby signing uses songs, rhymes and gentle games to help you build the framework for good communication with your baby; good eye contact, gestures and body language, facial expressions and more. Over the course you'll learn some basic signs to begin using at home as well as some songs and activities to try with your baby throughout the week.

Fun with felt flowers gives beginners all the basic information to learn felting around a resist. In the three and a half hours, students will make two different flowers, using different techniques, along with different centres. Workshops start at 10am. I can teach up to nine people here and I can also travel within 20 miles if someone wants a group of friends (minimum 5 participants) in their own house or school. Fabulous idea for a hen party! Please note, though, I do charge mileage. If you have a larger group (say WI or class parents) I am happy to run workshops for up to 20 people in your own venue. My workshops are not timetabled, so there is a great deal of flexibility on dates - just get in touch and we'll sort out a day to suit us both!Please also check out my other listings for Workshops in a Wallet.
