Introduction to Inkle Loom Weaving' workshop in the beautiful setting of Fisherton Mill in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Learn how to plan your weaving project, set up your inkle loom ready for weaving and spend a day learning the basic weaving technique in this relaxed & informative beginners weaving workshop. All materials and equipment are provided and you will leave with a clear handout of notes and your first woven band, made from organic cotton and linen, available in a wide range of stunning colours.

Art & Circus Easter Holiday Camp for 5 - 11 year olds in East London! We run totally unique Art and Circus workshops for children in London aged 5 - 11 with elements of well-being and mindfulness to help prepare your child for the day ahead. Come join us for a fun and creative session of discovering Blotted Line Monoprinting with Acrylic Ink – no drawing skills required. Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once, unlike most printmaking, where there are multiple originals.

About this event This workshop will aim to provide a simplified overview of the art of illustration and the tools and techniques it offers. It will take place over two mornings from 10..30 am to 12.30pm.. You will learn how to to express your own visual language and apply it to any given scene. The first morning workshop will include: Simplify your scene: how to draw with colour and block shape. Corners: how to use geometric shapes. The second morning workshop will include: Lines: curved and straight The big picture: merge and harmonise. All materials provided. Please bring an image which can be a sketch or photograph of the scene you would like to illustrate. At the end of the 2 mornings you will have a beautiful illustration and an awareness of how to turn any idea into an illustration. A two day knife making course is a great way to make yourself an item that will last a lifetime, on this two day course we forge a larger knife with a wooden handle, most students choose to do a kitchen knife but more elaborate bushcraft knives and athames have also been made. A knife is one of the oldest tools ever made by humanity and it is one that invokes many emotions to people when they see and use it for a productive task. When doing a knife making course here at Bearded Pig Forge we will discuss the fine details of a knife and how they are made as well as the history of forging them.  On the course you will learn the basics of forging a blade and how to effectively heat treat them in order to get the most use out of the blades as well as techniques for sharpening and honing blades. Courses are £300 Per person per two days. All courses must be paid for a minimum of 14 days in advance to secure the date.  I run a strict cancellation policy. If you cannot attend the date you have booked please contact me within three weeks and I will rebook your course for free, If you contact me after this deadline you will lose your place.
