Course Objectives The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the development and spread of fire. The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the causes of fires in wind turbines and the dangers related to this. The delegates are able to identify any sign of a fire in a wind turbine environment. The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the contingency plans in a wind turbine environment including smoke detection and emergency escape procedures. The delegates are able to demonstrate correct actions on discovering a fire including correct operation and fire extinguishing by means of the firefighting equipment in a WTG.

Course Information Who should attend? This course is a refresher course for people who work in the care sector and have experience in moving and positioning and are required to have knowledge and understanding of how to move and position individuals safely, and in a way that promotes their independence, dignity and functional mobility. Also the importance of risk assessments and the potential hazards involved, along with the key legislation relevant to moving and handling. The Care Certificate is a one-day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as hands on activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual. Learners will develop their knowledge, skills and understanding around the 15 care standards. Each of the 15 standards have specific learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The Care Certificate provides care staff with the fundamental skills to provide a quality, safe and effective service. The course covers manual handling of people and objects which is a full day course using equipment. The Care Certificate Refresher is fully CPD accredited. The Care Certificate Refresher training is a full day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. The Care Certificate Refresher provides care staff with the fundamental skills to provide a quality, safe and effective service. The Care Certificate Refresher does not cover manual handling of people and objects. This is a stand-alone course, which can be booked separately. Care providers are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and as a result must meet the Health and Social Care Act 2014 (Regulation 18 Staffing). Evidence of training and understanding is provided to support providers in their evidence of compliance.
