Troed y Rhiw is a 23 acre mixed organic farm situated in Ceredigion’s coastal belt, less than two miles from the sea. Established in 2008, it is owned and run by Nathan Richards and Alicia Miller. The farm’s ethos is built around a belief in the necessity of farming sustainably in the 21st century. This means a whole farm holistic approach to food production which starts with the microbial worlds within our soil and encompasses everything from habitat protection and creation, to the role that the farm has within the local community. Along with horticulture production, we also have a small herd of Highland cattle which contribute to the farm’s fertility and provide meat for the family and our customers. We focus on local food, serving our immediate community through a box scheme delivered within thirty miles of the farm, local producer’s markets, and retail outlets such as restaurants and green grocers. Staying local means our food is fresh, mostly picked and sold on the same day, and fresh food is the key to good cooking. The farm supports a range of wildlife. Pipistrelle and Brown Long-eared bats roost in the specially designed bat loft in the roof of our stone dairies. Rabbits, badgers and foxes all live in and around the farm. There is a wide range of bird life living on the farm including Jays, Nuthatches, Blue Tits, Wagtails and other garden birds as well as birds of prey, from Barn Owls and Red Kites to Buzzards which hunt in the surrounding countryside. A Heron regularly visits our pond during the summer months. The farm hosts a colony of bees kept in fourteen hives. A wide variety of butterflies and moths flourish on the farm encouraged by the farm’s diverse habitat and because we don’t use any pesticides.

For Every Cloud was established by Donna Vale in 2013, a creative venue based in Langport, a small town in the heart of the Somerset levels. Having graduated with a first class honors degree in art and textiles I wanted to create a space where people can learn, have fun, relax and make friends, this is really important but I also wanted an environment where visitors wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. My business mission statement ‘where friendship and creativity meet’ sums up the ethos of what we do at For Every Cloud. A shop and gallery stocking local art and craft features alongside my own. Workshops are held in the gallery space and studio, which is also used to teach screen printing. Both spaces can be hired by tutors and artists alike utilising their skills to teach popular classes such as needle felting. The workshop list is varied and attracts people from as far as London, France and Denmark who come with friends and family to stay in this beautiful part of the country, booking days to make and take… and of course have tea and cake. From experimental textiles to bookbinding, etching with Perspex to calligraphy, there is something here for everyone. I work alongside local B&B’s and cafes to provide an all round experience, offering bespoke events for hen parties, corporate functions and children’s birthdays and more recently, a summer school for adults. As well as workshops I create bespoke calligraphy and stationery for weddings, sublimation printing for personalised gifts. A signmaking service is also available for all your business and personal needs. Whether you need a new shop front or graphics for your vehicle, we are happy to help with the design and installation.

In 2007, at the age of 22, David Duncan gave up a secure job in the IT industry and took the first steps to make an old dream come true. David has always had a strong creative streak; from helping his grandmother bake and decorate the most beautiful cakes in her kitchen when he was a little boy, to sculpting in clay in his school’s art department – the seeds were sown that would eventually grow into the highly successful and award-winning 3D Cakes. From a humble start in 2005, making spectacular wedding cakes for friends and friends of friends in his kitchen, things accelerated quickly to an ever-expanding business. David is now one of Europe’s most renowned cake designers, most famous for his fashion-inspired cakes. David and his team have been honoured to design and create cakes for HM The Queen, HRH The Prince of Wales, J.K Rowling, Prince William, Bon Jovi, Crowded House, and high profile brands including Dior and Chanel. 3D Cakes Edinburgh won the VOWS (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier) ‘Cake Designer’ Award in 2008 & 2009. In 2010 a selection of 3D's wedding designs featured in the summer issue of VOGUE magazine in the UK. Later that year, David changed his focus to a previously unfounded niche in the UK market – creating realistic sculpture cakes. In 2011, the company's fashion inspired designs were showcased at Copenhagen Fashion Week. In 2012, David expanded into the field of cake master classes, with 3D Cakes having tutored in excess of 32,000 students to date at the David Duncan Sugarcraft School. A highlight of 2012 was creating a giant cake (a map of Scotland) for Holyrood Palace depicting HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Tour Route. In April 2013, the team created a cake for the Royal Yacht Brittania’s 60th Anniversary celebrations, with the cake being displayed on board the Yacht, in the magnificent State Dining Room. In September of that year, David was honoured to design a cake for Prince William, whom gifted the cake to Yao Ming for his birthday and rhino conservation work. In February 2014, 3D Cakes Edinburgh won both ‘South East Wedding Cake Designer of the Year’ and the overall ‘Scottish Wedding Cake Designer of The Year’ at the Scottish Wedding Awards. 2014 was to be a big year for the team, with their expanding online tutorial service and the brand new ‘David Duncan Cake Supplies’ online store launched in summer 2014 - click here to visit the site, this also coincided with the launch of the 3D Cakes 24 Hour Deals website. In April of that year, the decision was taken to split the business with Alannah taking over the Edinburgh business, rebranding as 3D Cakes Edinburgh, and David starting a new venture in Glasgow, 3D Cakes Glasgow. In December 2017, the 3D Cakes Edinburgh team were honoured to create a replica of HMS Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier which David presented to HM The Queen at the commissioning ceremony for the ship in Portsmouth. 2018 saw the David Duncan Masterclass Tour begin in Copenhagen, with future tours planned for Paris and Milan. In early 2019, 3D Cakes Edinburgh were finalists in the Confetti Awards and again won both the "South East Wedding Cake Designer of the Year" and the overall "Scottish Wedding Cake Designer of the Year" at the Scottish Wedding Awards.

Commited to Growth 100 % Passionate 100 % Friendly 100 % The Founders Story Meet Anthony Veluz The journey so far… Summer 2012- National Citizen Service EBP My social enterprise journey started in 2012. At the end of my Law and Business degree, I worked as a Mentor on the National Citizen Service (NCS) for their summer programme. I supported and coached a group of young people, through a programme of personal and social development, which culminated in a social action project in their local area. This programme consisted of team-building activities at an outdoor activity centre and skills development week at a University. For social action, my group carried out a project in their local community, providing a positive impact. Although NCS encompasses social impact, I wasn’t aware of social enterprise at the time. I didn’t even realise that the NCS provider I was working for, The Education Business Partnership (EBP), was a social enterprise themselves. It was only during the following year that I realised EBP were a social enterprise. I worked for them on NCS as a mentor across 13 different programmes over the years. 2013 – Elephant Branded It was during my Masters that I came across Elephant Branded, the first social enterprise I actually knew about! I had an interest in ‘good business’ and it was whilst I was watching ‘Be your own Boss’ on BBC3 that I discovered Elephant Branded. They make these amazing products out of recycled material, which in turn funds school kits in Africa and Asia. They also support the communities who make these products. I researched them online and discovered they had a student rep program. This is where the journey began. I started doing events on campus such as talks, lectures, pop-up stands, promoting Elephant Branded online and offline. This caught the eye of James Boon, Elephant Branded’s founder who offered me further opportunities across the country. Opening doors to lectures, talks, workshops and events in places such as Nottingham, Boston, Cardiff, Surrey and London. I really enjoyed what I was doing. I was able to meet many other social enterprises at events and learn more about social business. I gained new contacts, new skills and newfound confidence. Working For Other Social Enterprises Elephant Branded got the ball rolling. Other social enterprises were seeing what I was doing which led to me promoting them. I started working for GiveMeTap and LSTN Sound Co in addition to Elephant Branded. The skills I obtained with Elephant Branded were transferred to my newly appointed roles. I was offered a unique opportunity to represent all three social enterprises on the NCS programme, which I had previously mentored on. I delivered the Business Challenge on NCS across the East Midlands and Yorkshire, representing Elephant Branded, GiveMeTap and LSTN. It was The Apprentice meets Social Enterprise meets NCS. I had great fun promoting social enterprise to the young people on NCS. The challenge encouraged them to think about social enterprise ideas in their local areas and pitching new business ideas. During Global Entrepreneurship Week, again I represented all three social enterprises at an event hosted by Enterprise Zone and UnLtd at Boston College, celebrating social enterprise, Go Social. It was at this event I met people from UnLtd and discovered they funded social enterprises. I looked into this and eventually pitched for both pre-start-up funding and start-up funding. In between, I also successfully pitched for start-up funding from my University in Lincoln, leading to the next piece of the puzzle, setting up The Socent Connection.

I provide coaching and careers guidance. I work as a freelance consultant, based in Beckenham (in the London borough of Bromley). Here you can read more about me and how I work. For many years I worked for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery, which in 2013 merged and became part of Health Education England. My work was focused on careers, training and education for the NHS. I became a careers adviser in 2009, gaining a PG Dip in Careers Education at the University of Warwick. During this period, I mainly worked with doctors, either on a 1:1 basis or in group sessions. I helped them choose their medical specialities, as well as supporting them through a competitive interview process. Since the summer of 2017 I have worked as a freelance coach and careers consultant. I provide business to business careers consultancy and also work with private clients. My private coaching clients are mainly adults, from college students to people that want to undergo a career change. I help with career choice, coaching and careers guidance to improve any aspect of work or work/life balance. I also work with people who need help and advice to set up their own businesses. How I work My philosophy is to work with clients using ‘unconditional positive regard’ as the foundation stone of my practice. Carl Rogers, a humanistic psychologist in the 1950s, first developed this as a concept. This means I work from a place of having utmost respect for my client. I work in a holistic way, which helps the client find their own learning and life and helps people who want to change. I may explore with the client: questions relating to life purpose, the quality of relationships (work and home), feelings, career and health. BPS qualified in the use of psychometric assessments, I am trained in the Type Dynamics Indicator. I am also on on the Careers Development Institute registered list of career development professionals.

As a Teacher, Surrey Cricket Coach and a father of 3, I noticed there were no other kids cricket opportunities for 3-8 year olds. From my own point of view I always wanted my children to enjoy sport, but equally want them to be stretched from an early age. I believe children are far more capable at times than we give them credit for, therefore although our program is all about developing your child’s physical learning of cricket and social skills attributed though enjoyment, our unique concept enables the core skills of cricket to be introduced from an early age to great success.” For the last 3 years running we are honored to be nominated for an ‘Outstanding Services to Cricket Coaching Award’ by the Natwest OSCA’S at Surrey County Cricket Club. Mini Crickets has also proven to be a significant feeder into County Cricket with 8 of our clients last year successfully making it into the Surrey County Cricket Performance Squads! Coaches are all highly qualified having undergone an intensive inset program, as well as undertaking DBS/first aid and ECB coaching awards. If you would like your daughter or son to start their cricket careers on the right ‘front foot drive’, then ‘Crickety’ is waiting for a high five! During the Summer of 2017 Mini Crickets founder Jon Albert was incredibly proud to receive the honour of ‘ Outstanding Coaching Achievement’ from Surrey County Cricket Club. This award was given for his innovative coaching methods which have been developed over the years to create our Mini Cricket classes. Jon is thrilled that his program has been recognised with this honour and we look forward rolling our program out to as many children as possible over the coming year. This recognition is down to the commitment of all the Mini Cricket coaches throughout our centres and special mention goes to Henry Thorpe who won ‘Young Coach of the Year.

Hampstead Hill School is an independent Nursery and Pre-Preparatory School based in St Stephen’s, a magnificent Grade I listed former church, and the adjacent School Hall in the heart of Hampstead, London. (www.ststephenstrust.co.uk) Hampstead Hill is a non-selective school catering for children aged 2 to 7+ years. There are five Year Groups at Hampstead Hill and each Year Group consists of four classes. The Lower School, based in St Stephen’s Hall and the Garden classrooms, is made up of Early Years (age 2–3), Pre-Reception (age 3–4) and Reception (age 4–5) and the Upper School, based in St Stephen’s, is made up of Year 1 (age 5-6) and Year 2 (age 6-7). Hampstead Hill provides the peace of mind and security that comes with traditional teaching and values. Alongside a wide and varied syllabus we offer a balanced, nurturing and happy environment that gives children a stimulating and exciting introduction to early education and encourages them to learn and grow. In the Upper School our goal is to prepare children for the academic challenges of the 7+ entrance examinations to a wide range of future schools. At the start of the Summer Term the Year 2 pupils, who have finished entrance examinations, move into Post Exam classes and the Year 1 pupils move into their Year 2 classes, giving the children due to sit 7+ examinations three full terms with the Year 2 Class Teachers. With so many parents running extremely busy lives, it is important that a School recognises the pressures of today’s working arrangements. Hampstead Hill offers flexible hours for younger children, with facilities available for up to ten hours a day, 51 weeks a year. For parents who need it from the end of Reception Year onwards (5 years and over) we run a varied, exciting Holiday Scheme during all half-term and holiday periods.
