Course Objectives The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the development and spread of fire. The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the causes of fires in wind turbines and the dangers related to this. The delegates are able to identify any sign of a fire in a wind turbine environment. The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the contingency plans in a wind turbine environment including smoke detection and emergency escape procedures. The delegates are able to demonstrate correct actions on discovering a fire including correct operation and fire extinguishing by means of the firefighting equipment in a WTG.
This course teaches you English as a foreign language. Starting from a few basic words, we then work though the structures of the language step by step, learning new grammar and vocabulary as we go. We pay close attention to pronunciation, and make use of the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) to help us with this. The course is taught by a British English native speaker. But, because English is an international language, we will listen to various accents throughout the course.

P900 - Maintenance and testing of control measures for domestic hot and cold water systems is there to provide the basis of competence of operatives undertaking the operation and monitoring of domestic hot and cold water systems in buildings. The objective is to enable the candidates to identify the risks posed by legionella bacteria and understand how to manage the risks in domestic water systems, to a standard which minimises the risk of exposure and ill health.
