EFAW + SPORT This Emergency First Aid at Work course + Sport meets all the requirements of Category B trained staff for sports in accordance with United Kingdom Athletics. Ideal for coaches in sports (Hurley, Football, Gymnastics, Running clubs etc) The addition subjects of the Sport module are CPR for Children, climate considerations, sprains, strains and fractures specifically designed for personnel without immediate access to Pre hospital care. Our first aid at work training courses are in accordance with guidance provided by the Health & Safety executive (HSE) and are both fun and informative. This qualification should enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of first aider. and include dynamic and realistic casualty simulation which puts the candidates through their paces. We hold the Emergency First Aid at Work at our Education Centre in Ellesmere Port. We are also able to teach this course 'in-house' at our clients preferred site. Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training and be able to perform tasks at floor level. There are no other formal entry requirements but we strongly recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, using an AED, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

Who is this course for? This basic working with Asbestos safety training course is specifically designed for anyone who may be at risk from coming into contact with asbestos during the course of their work and which involves them using all necessary precautions and equipment to avoid working with asbestos containing materials [ACM]. IMPORTANT: This course does not train you to carry out any unlicensed, unlicensed notifiable work or licensed work on asbestos. You will need specific training for this. This course can also benefit the supervisor/manager responsible for those working in the construction and maintenance industry and looking for a basic understanding to better appreciate when to “stop the job” if suspected ACM’s are found. This two-day course is a must for anyone who is considering or already working in a role with supervisory responsibilities. This course provides an understanding of health, safety, welfare, and environmental issues. It highlights legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively. It is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all supervisors working on Build UK sites. Aims To give a clear understanding of health, safety, welfare, and environmental legislation that affects your supervisory role. To help you fulfil your responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare, and the environment. To help you implement new guidance and industry best practice affected by changes. Course Content • Health and safety law and how it will apply to supervisors. • Your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safety. • Risk assessments and the need for method statements. • Effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings. • Monitoring site activities effectively. • Timely intervention when bad practice is identified. Prerequisites This course is for you if you are considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities. Assessment At the end of this course, all delegates will have a clear understanding of controlling health and safety on site from a supervisor’s role. Certificate This certification for this course is valid for 5 years and is endorsed by Build UK as a standard training for all supervisors. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.
