St. Kilian’s Deutsche School is a German/Irish school. It is a co-educational, inter-denominational school spanning the full educational cycle.Primary School The Primary School welcomes children from 6-12 years of age. Pupils enter First Class in our Primary School at a minimum age of 6 years and 3 months having completed their Kindergarten/Vorschule years (Junior/Senior Infants). Pupils joining us from other schools and from abroad may enter the Primary School in accordance with our Admissions Policy. During their six years at Primary School, pupils follow the Irish Primary School Curriculum with the exception, initially, of the Irish Language (introduced in 3rd class). We follow Baden-Württemberg guidelines for the subject German and for our German Curricular Stream. German is taught throughout the Primary School. A knowledge of the German language is not a requirement for entry into the Primary School. There are two classes for each year group and we aim to ensure that our classes include an even mix of children regarding sex, German mother and foreign tongue as well as nationality. Every class has a class teacher. Classes are taught by a mix of primary teachers and specialist teachers. PE is an integral part of our core curriculum. Classes 1 to 4 have five timetabled classes of Sport a week, classes 5 and 6 have three. Hockey and Soccer are also taught as optional subjects in the afternoon.

Fast forward over seven years and she works as a sous chef & event manager for Jacqueline, whilst working in restaurants & other hospitality venues across London & Sussex. She was head chef for Jacqueline’s own wedding! Prior to being a chef Nikki worked as a youth practitioner and workshop facilitator. Once working in food she discovered she could combine her two passions and impart her love of food and cooking to others through teaching. Whilst living in Brighton she worked at Brighton cookery school developing classes & teaching groups up to thirty children & adults. Her dream one day is to work full time as a cookery teacher following the ethos of Positively delicious. Katie Chubb Marketing Manager Katie is a marketing manager with over a decade of experience in both digital and traditional marketing, she runs an agency called Runway that helps businesses "take off". Working from FTSE100 listed companies to start ups, she creates bespoke campaigns that are tailored to specific business needs and goals. She looks after everything from email, to PR, website content, and socials. Charlie Simpson Creative Executive Charlie is a content creator, that has worked with numerous individuals, businesses and artists on projects, that have gained reach world-wide. Ingrid Lacey founded Face to Face in 1987 and brings over twenty years of experience in coaching communication skills. She was one of the first actresses to bring actor based training to the corporate world. Over the years she has worked with individuals and groups throughout the private and public sector at all levels. Together with Sally Edwards she is co-creator of the method Face to Face use in their workshops. Ingrid graduated from The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked as an actress in TV, film and theatre. She is best known from the award winning TV comedy Drop The Dead Donkey. She has worked for The Royal Court Theatre and the West End. Ingrid is a regular voice over artist. Sally Edwards Sally Edwards has been coaching in communication skills with Face to Face for over five years where she has put her considerable experience as a performer to excellent use in designing and delivering dynamic and creative workshops. Previously, she worked as a training consultant with other actor based companies and as an independent voice coach. Sally graduated from The Central School of Speech & Drama as a qualified Teacher and Voice Specialist. She has worked for many years as an actress in theatre, television and film. She has worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Royal National Theatre amongst many others. She was a regular in London Bridge on ITV.

The Lemonade Project is an initiative of Shared Health Foundation with the aim of building resilience in young people who are experiencing low levels of emotional wellbeing. It is part of Shared Health Foundation’s wider strategy to improve mental health support for adolescents across Greater Manchester. Our resources and training are perfect to help schools meet new PSHE requirements. Project Overview The Lemonade Project consists of three strands: The Lemonade Resource Book: A range of interactive, engaging activities designed to be used by small groups of young people. It covers six main chapters addressing many of the issues in the ‘Resilience Framework’, for example emotional literacy, self esteem and identity, and dealing with challenge The Tough Times Toolkit: A conversation aid which consists of suggested questions and prompts which can help get to the root of any problems a young person might be experiencing, as well as an informal risk assessment. It also includes ideas for strategies that an adult may want to suggest to a young person to try and help them manage strong emotions. The Life and Lemons Journal: An interactive resilience journal for young people. We believe that the best way this journal can be used is to allow the young person to take it way, use in their own time, and then meet back to discuss any issues that it might have raised in a safe space with a parent/teacher or trusted adult.

I am a mixed media textile artist based in Southsea. I have an interest in exploring narrative through textiles, using mixed media collage to create fabric books, art quilts and collections of themed illustrations. I am also interested in journaling and telling personal stories through collections of memories, data and photographs. My background is a combination of art and design practices - I studied Illustration at Kingston University before becoming a secondary school textiles teacher. I combine the two disciplines to create fabric artwork with an illustrative quality and narrative. For example I often use song lyrics and quotations as starting points, and text features in most of my artwork. Whilst studying illustration I specialised in creating whimsical collages from sketches and paper ephemera and I bring the same techniques to textiles, layering fabrics, stitch and embellishments to create mixed-media mini-quilts and fabric books. I love to work to a specific theme and take on long projects focusing on one topic. This might turn into a series of Illustrations (The World of Jane Austen), a fabric book (Into The Woods) or a single large piece built up over time (Lockdown Quilt). A lover of bright colours and bold prints, I draw inspiration from 1960s and 70s children’s books, psychedelic music posters and vintage textiles. I am very lucky to have a studio on the seafront in Old Portsmouth which is open to the public.

I AM YOGI is the story of wanting to build a yoga community. The company was co-founded by myself and Vittoria Manca. After practising yoga together for many years at various studios, we wanted to give it a go ourselves! In 2016, I decided to leave my career as a secondary school teacher and complete my yoga training in Goa, India. On returning, teaching in the local gym just wasn’t enough and the vision started to brew. The origins of I AM YOGI started in a space called ‘The Glasshouse’, which was essentially a conservatory on a pub car-park in Moseley. The weekly schedule started there. Wind the clock forward 18 months and the purpose-built wooden cabin that now stands in Moseley Park, was The Glasshouse re-envisioned. The cabin was constructed by a local carpenter and friend, Jim Jones along with many helping hands from parents, close friends, extended family and local stakeholders. Today, I have a dedicated team who work hard behind the scenes, from our CABIN CREW to our outstandingly dedicated TEACHING TEAM. The community that I AM YOGI serves and continues to create is special - and now even extends out into the virtual world since the pandemic! You can practice YOGA AT HOME with us from anywhere, anytime! The work we continue to do is for every yogi that continues to show up and practice with us.

Hi I’m Helen! I am a fully qualified dance teacher with the International Dance Teachers’ Association running dance and dance- inspired fitness classes in Sheffield. Awards ‘Dance Fitness Instructor of the Year 2019 – South Yorkshire’ – August 2019 – Northern Enterprise Awards ‘Best Dance Fitness Instructor 2018 – South Yorkshire’ – August 2018 – Yorkshire and the Humber Enterprise Awards. Why do you teach? I have been teaching dance since I was 17. There is nothing more rewarding than helping my students realise their potential. I’ve always been so passionate about dancing and its benefits so in 2014 I decided to branch out into teaching dance-inspired fitness classes for adults. Since then I have discovered a real passion for encouraging people to get into exercise through the use of fun, dance based workout routines. I love helping my class members achieve their goals. The Dance Fit with Helen mission! Through dance, exercising can be fun and it should be fun otherwise you won’t want to do it! My mission is to break down this barrier of women feeling too self-conscious to go to an exercise class because of low body confidence and self-esteem. I like to challenge the view of fitness classes being places only fit, slim, twenty-somethings can attend! What classes are on offer?
