For New Mums And Their Children Improve Wellbeing We offer time to discover what you and your child enjoy. We explore mindfulness and grounding exercises for mums/carers and babies. Enjoy The Fresh Air A cosy campfire, campfire treats, play, crafts and walks in the woods are very much part of these sessions and make the most of being outdoors. Story telling and singing, seasonal crafts and getting hands on in the mud kitchen give your child lots of options for fun in the fresh air. Build Connections Building connections with your babies and other mums is a very natural progression as you have time to relax and enjoy each others company. Supporting All New Mamas Wednesdays 11am - 1pm (term time) Mamas in nature supports new Mums and their babies. This safe, supportive space can bring everybody positivity, connection and joy. The feed back from Mums is really positive with members feeling more relaxed, supported and calmer. Mama’s in Nature is partly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and is only £3 per carer per session. Access to these sessions is for existing attendees or via social prescribing. What you might need We are outside all year round so warm and waterproof clothes (for you and for baby) will help you enjoy the sessions. We have a range of outdoor clothing, slings etc which can be borrow for the sessions at no charge, so don’t worry if you don’t have all you need. If you have a sling or pushchair suitable for woodland walks and a change of clothes for baby, as they may get muddy and wet, bring them along. We also have use of an indoor space where needed. 

This one-day course will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only is sufficient for your workplace.

Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies aneed for an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981! Syllabus A range of subjects are covered including:- • Responsibilities and reporting • Resuscitation and AED awareness • Burns • Assessment of the situation • Anatomy • Choking • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Minor injuries • Epilepsy • Basic hygiene in First Aid • Bleeding control • Shock Certification Practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor, and a three year qualification will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria. In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of three hours. All candidates receive a NUCO Emergency First Aid Booklet.

Even if you have completed a level 3 NVQ or a previous version of the wiring regulations, you still will have to prove you are conversant with the current standards. So therefore, keeping up to date with the latest wiring regulations satisfies these requirements. Although the BS 7671 can be a tricky book to navigate, our course has been designed in such a way as to ensure that you will have the knowledge to identify and find the topics covered in each of the relevant parts of the book. The HSE approved qualification is a three-day course that provides individuals and businesses with the knowledge and skills they require to remain compliant with workplace First Aid training. The course fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021. This course is aimed at individuals and businesses where the risks are higher and there is a requirement for employees to hold a great level qualification. Aims To give a more in-depth knowledge to help you deal with several different emergencies at work. Course Content • Acts and regulations • Roles and responsibilities • Calling and liaising with the emergency services and scene safety • Infection control and barrier use • Unconscious breathing casualties • Heart attacks, Cardiac arrest, CPR including the use of AED (defib) • Choking • Bleeding and embedded objects • Burns, shock and Seizures • Head and eye injuries • Breaks, dislocations, and sprains • Bites, stings and poisoning • Angina, asthma, stroke and diabetes • Illness assessment • Post incident care Prerequisites None - The course is intended either as an introduction or as an update. Assessment Delegates will be required to pass a multiple-choice test at the end of the training. Certificate On successful completion of the course, all delegates will gain a Level 3 award in First Aid at Work valid for 3 years from the date of completion.
