Embark on a captivating journey with a young boy in a remote medieval outpost, as he is drawn into an adventure of legendary proportions when a revered master illuminator arrives bearing an ancient book filled with hidden knowledge and magic. Its peony season and London is in bloom! What better way to celebrate by creating a beautiful bouquet of gorgeous peonies? Our clients all time favourite flowers and one we look forward to coming into season each year. Come join me in the studio at West 16th SE21 where we will learn the art of building a beautiful hand-tied bouquet of the best seasonal flowers. Mix a gorgeous selection of flowers, fillers and foliage using the 'spiralling' technique used by the pros. We will be chatting through peony varieties, how to get the most out of them and sharing lots of flower hacks, tips and tricks along the way. We finish by learning presentation techniques and you'll leave with your floral creation to enjoy at home. The workshop will be held in the studio of West 16th, SE21 who will supply drinks and snacks included within the workshop price.

Date: Wednesday 11th October Time: 4pm Location: Studio A - Landor Road Events Details: Our 'QUEER COMING-OF-AGE' season continues with a father-son road trip story exploring body dysmorphia and familial acceptance; 2020's indie hit Cowboys. Steve Zahn and Sasha Knight star as Troy and Joe, a father and transgender son who head off into the Montana wilderness to escape Joe's traditionalist mother, played by Jillian Bell. Detective Faith Erickson is hot on their tail, as the father (suffering from bipolar disorder and a drinking problem) teaches his son to shoot guns, live off the land and become the man he wants to be. A powerful but gentle film about the freedom children are afforded in choosing who they are. Jazz dance is all about finding your own groove, letting loose, and having a jolly good time! So, get ready to dive into a world where rhythm meets fun, and fun meets fancy footwork. In our Kids Jazz Dance Class, we learn more than just basic jazz steps. We embrace the magic of dance, letting it take us on an exhilarating journey of discovery! From the moment your little ones step into our vibrant dance studio, they'll be immersed in a bubbly, energetic environment that is as exciting as it is welcoming. The course is all about letting children explore movement, rhythm, and the wonderful world of jazz dance. We begin by introducing the youngsters to classic jazz steps that are as playful as they are graceful. Each week, they'll be learning new moves, from the lively "jazz square" to the enchanting "pivot step" and even the dazzling "kick ball change". But that's not all! Dance is not just about steps, it's about the whole body. So, we've incorporated exercises to develop balance and coordination, too. We'll be playing exciting dance games and doing engaging exercises that will help your child become nimble and agile, just like the best jazz dancers! And for the aspiring young dancers who dream of mastering the perfect splits, we have you covered! Our caring and experienced instructors will guide your children on a safe, step-by-step journey towards this classic dance move. WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, HAVE MORE ENERGY AND FEEL MORE HAPPY? The Menopause Lifestyle Project is a group programme and an opportunity to work with me in person, in the studio. The 4 week course is educational and will introduce you to what menopause is, why it happens, symptoms related to it and how you can best manage your lifestyle during this period. Send it in to be part of our CRITICAL VIEWING SESSION. This is a laid-back, informal session where you can receive feedback on your work from your peers and friends in a friendly, constructive manner.This will be a great opportunity for you to get unofficial feedback on work you have completed both in school and in your personal time, as well as give you the chance to flex your criticism muscles and express how you feel about others' work.Please note, films should not exceed 10 minutes, scripts or script samples should not exceed 10 pages and showreels/performance pieces should not exceed 5 minutes.

DATE: Thursday 18th July TIME: 4pm LOCATION: Studio A MAX ALBRECHT is the creative director and founder of Critical Mask Pictures, a production company that focuses on narrative filmmaking. Max will be joining us on Thursday 18th July to discuss how best to market yourself and find work as a freelancer in the film and television industries. With years of experience under his belt, this will be a great Life Skills Session to attend to learn about life after CFS. Max will also discuss his experiences founding a production company and operating as a sole trader, so that attendees can learn of all the many ways to make a living independently in the business. A Q+A Session will take place for anything specific people wanted to ask. Be sure to book your free ticket in advance so that you don't miss out!

Date: Thursday 28th September Time: 4pm Location: Studio A - Landor Road Event Details: Richard Hewitt is a film producer, who has previously worked in the industry as a 1st AD and Production Manager over the last few decades. He has kindly agreed to visit CFS to discuss hiss experiences in these roles, whilst shining a light on the different types of producers and their responsibilities. He has produced many well known and respected movies, including: - Bohemian Rhapsody - The Theory of Everything - Never Let Me Go - The Aeronauts The session will wrap with a wider Q+A session at the end. This is a free event that all students are welcome to attend. Be sure to book tickets in advance though so that you don't miss out!
