About this Training Course This 5 full-day course has been designed to develop skills in understanding the geometry and petrophysical characteristics of carbonate reservoirs. Depositional fabric, grain type and size and subsequent diagenetic modifications are the major controls on carbonate reservoir behaviour. The complex inter-relationship of the depositional and burial history can be unravelled to allow prediction of reservoir facies and reconstruction of three-dimensional reservoir models. This course will demonstrate the value of the reservoir model in volumetric assessment and development of carbonate reservoirs. *Previous knowledge of carbonate sedimentology is not required. Course Content in Summary: Carbonate reservoirs: Basic principles; depositional concepts; grain types; textures and fabrics; environmental reconstruction. The reservoir model - depositional and diagenetic characteristics: Sabkha/tidal flat; lagoon; shelf; reef (rudist and coral/algal); barrier/shoal; slope and redeposited; aeolian and lacustrine; karst plays. Carbonate diagenesis: Primary and secondary porosity; compaction; pressure solution; cementation; dolomitisation; porosity generation and destruction; fractures. Carbonate sequence stratigraphy Log response in carbonate rocks: Gamma; sonic; neutron; density; FMS. Reservoir assessment: Fracture reservoirs; reservoir modelling; volumetric assessment in correlation and mapping; effects of capillary pressure; interface with engineering. Training Objectives By attending this course, participants will be able to: Understand carbonate depositional systems and controls. Recognise and model controls on reservoir quality and pore systems, including diagenesis and fracturing. Understand and apply carbonate seismic stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy. Interpret log responses. Target Audience This course is intended for petroleum geologists, explorationists, petrophysicists, geophysicists and engineers involved with exploration of carbonate plays and development of carbonate reservoirs. Trainer Your expert course leader is a Director and Senior Consultant Geologist who has worked on various carbonate consultancy projects, conducted detailed sedimentological, sequence stratigraphic and diagenetic technical studies and delivered training programmes. He was formerly Managing Director of Robertson UK Limited and was responsible for the integration between different disciplines, recognition, and encouragement of technical innovation and research and development programmes across all oil and gas divisions in the company. He was also responsible for all aspects of the performance of the main Geological, Geophysical and Reservoir Engineering Services in the company. Change Management Practitioner A successful Practitioner candidate should, with suitable direction, be able to start applying the Change Management™ approaches and techniques to a real change initiative; however, s/he may not be sufficiently skilled to do this appropriately for all situations. His/her individual Change Management expertise, complexity of the change initiative, and the support provided for the use of Change Management approaches in their work environment will all be factors that impact what the Practitioner can achieve. This course will further develop some of the knowledge of Change Management learned during the Foundation certification. You will consider what learning is required and how best to design and deliver it. Then the course will provide an understanding of how Change Management fits into the project management environment. A major challenge with change is making it stick. The course will show how to sustain change by understanding the levers for change, models of adoption, and reinforcing systems. This course also prepares you for the APMG Change Management Practitioner exam. Given that a primary course goal is to achieve the Practitioner Certification, daily homework assignments and practice exams will be provided. The Practitioner-level exam is taken at the end of the second day of the Traditional Classroom course. What You Will Learn You'll learn how to: Understand the key principles in defining what is to be learned by all involved in a change initiative Describe the project environment in which change is governed and delivered Understand the organizational 'levers', adoption approaches, and reinforcing systems typically used to sustain change Improve your ability to pass the APMG Change Management Practitioner Certification exam Getting Started Introductions Course structure Course goals and objectives Learning and Change Defining and managing the required learning to enable change The Project Management Environment Understanding the project environment Identifying key roles Developing a change delivery plan Sustaining Change How levers enable the adoption of change Types of levers (Environmental levers, Leadership levers, and Organizational Development levers) Models of adoption and reinforcing systems APMG Change Management Practitioner Exam Preparation Review of and practice with APMG sample questions and test papers APMG Change Management Practitioner Exam Traditional Classroom: The exam is taken and submitted to APMG for marking. Virtual Classroom: The exam is scheduled by the Participant and taken subsequent to the course.

About this Training Course The two elements which consistently remain in the forefront of every executive, tasked to manage a project, are 'Cost' and 'Time'. There is probably no disagreement or a need to prove that a strong correlation exists between Cost and Schedule. The mechanics of capturing cost during the execution is not that difficult a task, as it is when undertaking Design, Engineering, Estimating, Planning, Scheduling, and seeking financing for the project. The corporate management is expected to provide realistic, reliable and risks adjusted projections of a project's overall financial performance. This 3 full-day course and workshop is developed to make the delegates walk through the engineering formulas and equations to become a professional in managing estimates, projections, risks, uncertainties and secure financing for high value, high risk projects, from both On-shore and Offshore Oil & Gas industry segments. This course can also be offered through Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) format. Training Objectives Objectives of this Training Course: This course and the workshops are developed for the participants to gain comprehensive understanding of the field of Cost Engineering and its impact on the project execution, financing and risk management. The underlying objectives are: Enhance familiarization with mechanics of cost engineering in developing budgets and Project Cost Models. Gain understanding of diversity in financing of EPC Projects in context of Offshore and Onshore Oil & Gas projects in international arena. Identify risks associated with cost estimates and costing elements, with an objective of developing project strategies and minimizing the exposure to escalation of prices and market factors. Appreciate the correlation between cost and schedule, resulting in the delivery of contractual obligations. Develop competency to manage risks of costs and time overrun, by implementing appropriate cost control mechanism. Target Audience If you are responsible for undertaking one or more of the following functions in the Oil & Gas and Offshore & Marine Industry, you can't afford to miss this course: Management Accountants, Finance Managers, Cost Controllers, Project Directors, Contracts & Projects Managers, Estimators, Planners and Risk Managers.
