This In House Training for the designated safeguarding lead in your school or college, we can offer a 4 or 6 hour course for 1 - 50 people, this can be delivered in your organisation during the day or evening at a times to suit your needs. Carry out your statutory responsibilities as a Designated safeguarding lead (DSL) with the DSL training courses and protect the children and young people you work with in schools and colleges in England.

This course looks at the initial alert and the decision-making process in deciding to make a referral, taking into consideration consent and capacity of the alleged vulnerable adult, keeping them at the centre of the decision-making process. How and who to refer to and the different types of response you could expect.

Barts Health NHS Trust will be running its inaugural Level 4 Children Safeguarding training day at the Education Academy of the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, London on the 10th October 2025. The course is aimed at Named Professionals in Children’s Safeguarding who are already established in role but need to keep their learning up to date at level 4 in line with the Safeguarding Children and Young People: Roles and Competencies for Healthcare Staff (Intercollegiate Document). The course will be a mixture of presentations from expert speakers, which will cover a number of hot topics in children’s safeguarding and a series of workshops which be facilitated by experts but where the emphasis will be on shared learning from the expertise all participants will bring to the course.

To increase your awareness and understanding of what safeguarding children means, in order to increase your confidence to enable you to make a positive contribution towards the process.

Safeguarding Training (Module 4 of Youth Leader Training as a standalone) This course is recognised by the Church of Scotland as an alternative to their Introductory course (as long as no other regulated work is undertaken within your local Church) Open to any BBUK registered leader. Participants should complete the Safeguarding and Managing Risk e-learning modules prior to registering for the training.

We are offering an Annual Child Protection Awareness Course at your organisation for up to 50 people for a low cost of £800+vat. It’s essential that anyone who works or volunteers with children or young people has the knowledge and skills needed to help keep children safe. But what does that mean in practice? Statutory guidance sets out the child protection requirements for people working or volunteering with children in the UK.

Open to any BBUK Leaders who have fully completed the registration process. Safeguarding and Managing Risk e-learning modules must be completed prior to attending the training course. Saturday 2nd November 2024 9:45 am to 5:45pm covers Modules 1: Introduction to BB, Module 6: Equal Opportunities, Module 2: Working with Under 11's OR Module 3: Working with Over 11's, Module 4: Safeguarding (recognised by the Church of Scotland)  Module 4 will start at 3:15pm and can be attended by Leaders who need this for Church of Scotland congregational purposes. Sunday 3rd November 2024 1:45pm to 7pm covers Module 5: Managing Risk, Module 7: Programme Planning & Delivery & Module 8: Sharing Faith

A CPD approved and CSTF aligned one-day training course for Healthcare Professional; covering Health & Safety topics; including Equality and Diversity; Fire Safety; Risk Assessment; Preventing Radicalisation; Data Security; Infection Control; Manual & Handling; Conflict Resolution; Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults; Safeguarding Children; Lone worker; Autism and Basic Life Support. This is an annual requirement.

Open to any BBUK Captain’s/ Leaders in charge who have fully completed the registration process. Safeguarding and Managing Risk e-learning modules must be completed prior to attending the training course. By the end of our time together you will be able to: Feel confident in your role as Captain or Leader-in-Charge. Recognise your responsibilities in creating a safe environment in the Company, including Safeguarding and Managing Risk. Know where to find the resources and support available to deliver quality youth and children’s work in the Company. Understand how to establish and maintain positive working relationships. Identify and manage the development and sustainability of the Company. Saturday 21st September 2024 9:45 am to 5:45pm covers the core modules of Company Management Training: Introduction Module 1 – Management Role Module 2 – Safeguarding Module 3 – Managing Risk Module 4 – Planning Module 5 – Managing & Supporting Your Team Module 6 – Developing Your Team Module 7 – Reflective Practice
