What do engineers and project managers need to know of finance? 'Nothing - leave it to the accountants!' No, no, no! Engineers must be conversant with the terminology and statements that accountants use. Technical expertise in projects, service delivery, production or other areas can only really be harnessed if the managers understand the accounting and reporting that drives businesses. This course gives the necessary understanding to project, production and technical managers. It develops their skills in understanding financial and management accounting. Accountants may not always like it but a major part of their work is to be the 'servants of business' and to gather, compile and present your figures. So you must understand the figures - they belong to you, your processes or projects. There are many reasons for maintaining accurate accounts. This course focuses on the strategic issues (those over-used words) - what figures reveal about the drivers of business and what they reveal about the day-to-day issues that accountants bother you with. Instructor training enables companies to have their own AITT Forklift Instructor. On completion they are able to instruct and examine operators on company premises. Also it could be an opportunity for an individual to embark upon a rewarding career as a recognised AITT instructor. The course complies with the approved code of practice issued by the Health & Safety Executive. We offer the AITT Instructor training course at our training centre in Warrington, Cheshire. We use all the best tools and equipment to assist trainee development. Our Instructor’s Mike Hammett and Stephen McCann have a lot of experience in this course, both have very good success rates and offer alot of after care too! Once an Instructor has passed their AITT Instructor training course they can always come back and receive professional advice. We always go the extra mile! AITT Accredited Novice Course: The Instructor training course caters for candidates seeking to become an AITT Registered Instructor. Previous fork lift experience is strongly recommended and candidates must have a current counterbalance certificate dated within 36 months prior to the course start date. Refresher courses are available prior to the instructor course extending the duration by one day to 11 days. Objectives: On successful completion of the course the candidate will be qualified to teach and train on all Industrial Counterbalance and Reach trucks for which they are certificated to use as operators. Target Group: The employer should carefully select the correct person for the job as an instructor. They should be literate and numerate with good presentation skills. The AITT recommend that candidates have a minimum of 12 months operating experience before attending the course. During the course candidates will be progressively assessed in all key areas. Candidates therefore must have a good knowledge of each subject and are provided with some excellent materials to assist them on completion of the course. This qualification is aimed those who carry out supervisory activities in a specific trade in the Construction Industry. The qualification certificate will carry an endorsement to show what trades the candidate was supervising during completion of this qualification. The qualification has a core group of 5 mandatory units that cover areas including Health and Safety, confirming work requirements and coordinating work operations. The qualification also has a group of optional units to allow flexibility to suit individual needs and responsibilities and completion of mandatory units and a minimum of 2 units from the optional group will give access to the relevant CSCS card. This qualification replaces version 1 of the GQA Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision (Construction) QAN 601/3469/0 for anyone starting the qualification from 01/11/2019. What is required from candidates? This qualification consists of 5 mandatory units, which have a total of 57 credits and a group of optional units. Candidates must complete all 5 mandatory units and a minimum of 2 units from the optional group. GQA qualifications are made up of units that have a credit value or credits. These credits must be achieved in the correct combination of mandatory and optional units. Qualifications are now required to indicate the total qualification time (TQT), this is to show the typical time it will take someone to attain the required skills and knowledge to meet the qualification criteria. The units of assessment set out learning outcomes which describe what learners need to be able to do and understand. The learning outcomes are defined by assessment criteria which are used to assess competence, expressed as skills achieved and learned knowledge and understanding, to achieve the units. Achievement of the mandatory units and chosen optional units will mean the qualification has been completed and will be subject to approval of a claim for certification. GQA Qualifications will issue a certificate complete with the learner’s name, the qualification and unit titles and the credits achieved.
