This 2 - 2-5 hour course is designed is designed to provide parents and carers with the opportunity to: Develop the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a wide range of emergency paediatric First Aid situations, which could arise when looking after babies and children. The course can take place in in a community group or in the comfort of your home, with family and friends who maybe caring for your child or they may have children of their own. The course can be booked during the week, week nights or weekends, with or without children present. The idea is to bring the skills and knowledge to you, in your normal routine.

My courses are suitable for people who would like to keep bees, or are already keeping them. All courses are held at my farm cottage in rural East Sussex – do get in touch for detailed directions.

First Aid at Work (RQF) accredited course delivered by Health Care Professionals

This is an essential course for all new or inexperienced skippers and crew, and perfect for anyone who wants to be involved in activities on the water from sailing, powerboating, sea angling or diving. The course works well as a refresher, or sits alongside Introduction to Yachting or Powerboat Level 2. The course will give you the essential knowledge when you are on board, from passage planning to safety and navigation. The syllabus will take 16 hours and we run it over a weekend or over short sessions: Charts, publications and terms. Our one day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers all the subjects required by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to make this an approved course. However, if you have particular risks in your workplace please let us know in advance of the course so that we can tailor your time with us to include training in those area.  This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering: Adult resuscitation (CPR) Burns and scalds Choking adult Communication and casualty care Defibrillator (AED) prompts and pad placement Minor and severe bleeding Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations) Seizures Shock Unresponsive adult Catastrophic bleeding can be added as an optional module for workplaces that require it following your first aid needs assessment.
