The aim of this course is to provide the learner with an understanding of all aspects of this process including the effective planning, development, implementation and review of the care process and the effective management of issues to ensure that the care received is individualised and effectively meets the persons needs and requirements.

This course is designed to enable learners to increase their understanding of risk assessment and risk management in Health and Social Care settings.

This medication training course covers a wide range of topics relating to the safe handling and administration of medication within the health and social care industry, such as The Medicines Act and controlled drug schedules. The course covers the requirements set out in The Care Certificate, in NICE guidelines, and by the Care Quality Commission. This practical medication administration course includes competency sign-off.

Course Details Aims This mental health awareness training course is a mandatory requirement for working within health and social care. The course forms standard 9 of The Care Certificate. All staff working with individuals who suffer with mental health should take this course. Mental Health Awareness Training Course Summary: •Understand the experiences of people with mental health needs •Understand the importance of promoting positive health and wellbeing for an individual who may have a mental health need •Understand the adaptations in care delivery relating to an individual who may have a mental health issue •Understand the importance of early detection of mental health needs •Understand legal frameworks, policy and guidelines relating to mental health needs •Understand mental capacity

The Care Certificate is an agreed set of standards that define the minimum knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of specific job roles in the health and social care sectors. Developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health. The Care Certificate is made up of the 15 minimum standards that should be covered if you are 'new to care' and should form part of a robust induction programme. At 3CP training, we have redesigned the theory aspects from all 15 standards and developed these into a three-day affordable intensive course, leaving the manager, once completed, to use the rest of the thirteen-week recommended induction period to be spent on Competency checks of the worker and subsequent completion of the Care Certificate. To ensure compliance, this course has been approved by our local health authority and has been successfully rolled out for many years.

The QA Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people. It is the perfect course for those working in a variety of health and social care environments such as care homes.  Successful candidates will learn the key principles of safe handling and how to apply these in their workplace. They will also practise a range of techniques, ensuring that they leave the course confident in the safe moving and handling of people.

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

The Care Certificate is a Five-day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. We use a mixture of training methods such as hands on activities, group discussion, games and the use of equipment / technology to cover the different learning styles of the individual. Learners will develop their knowledge, skills and understanding around the 15 care standards. Each of the 15 standards have specific learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The Care Certificate provides care staff with the fundamental skills to provide a quality, safe and effective service. The course covers manual handling of people and objects which is a full day course using equipment. Care providers are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and as a result must meet the Health and Social Care Act 2014 (Regulation 18 Staffing). Evidence of training and understanding is provided to support providers in their evidence of compliance. Instructions Attendees to arrive on time at 9.30am and will leave around 16.30pm It is important that learners are fit and well to participate in group activities. The Care Certificate Refresher is fully CPD accredited. The Care Certificate Refresher training is a full day, instructor led course in a fully equipped training room. Learners will update their knowledge, skills and understanding around the 15 care standards. The Care Certificate Refresher provides care staff with the fundamental skills to provide a quality, safe and effective service. The Care Certificate Refresher does not cover manual handling of people and objects. This is a stand-alone course, which can be booked separately. Care providers are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and as a result must meet the Health and Social Care Act 2014 (Regulation 18 Staffing). Evidence of training and understanding is provided to support providers in their evidence of compliance.
