UNITY AND Universe - free workshop Learn how to be TOGETHER and cooperate as you work in a group to create one big artwork using acrylic paints. This workshop aims to create UNITY between participants using ART, bringing together everyone’s one big artwork as a symbol of unity. Afterward, the work will be cut into pieces and shared between participants, helping them to overcome personal attachment to emotions and objects. All materials provided. If you would like to, you can bring your favorite brushes.

On behalf of the Growing Younger and More Diverse Team, we would love to invite you to our leader’s brunches. We are partnering with Youthscape, Project 267 and The Haven to bring together paid and volunteer youth leaders from around the Diocese. In a Youthscape report on Y and C provision in the Diocese, it was found that "on the current trajectory, the average Sunday attendance of 0-15s in the Diocese would be zero in just ten years' time". We want to reverse this and believe with prayer, the right focus and working together, we can reverse this decline. We would love for you to partner with us as we make Growing Younger and More Diverse a priority. On Wednesday July 10th we will be doing something slightly different to the usual routine and gathering together between 12:00 - 15:00 over lunch in order to reflect and share around all that God has been doing in this season. We would love for you to come. This training session is tailored to help staff at the Diocese of St Albans get familiar with the phone features in Microsoft Teams. Participants will learn how to use Teams as a phone system, including making and receiving calls, setting up voicemail, call forwarding, and managing contacts. The training will also cover advanced features like call transferring, setting up and joining audio conferences, and using Teams on mobile devices for calls. By the end of the session, staff will be confident in using Microsoft Teams for all their telephony needs.

Come Away on a Leaders Retreat Designed for leaders in children's, youth, young adult, and student ministries to step away from the demands of daily workload, this retreat will be focused on finding space for renewal alongside others in leadership roles. Together, we will spend time reflecting on personal spiritual practices rooted in rest. Recognising that so much of ministry is about giving outwardly, this retreat offers an opportunity to look inward and upward—to refocus on God and explore how we can each individually pursue Him more deeply. In the tranquil grounds of the High Leigh retreat centre, the day will be a mix of restful, reflective practices, time to socialise and have fellowship, and workshops for delving into our own spiritual practices, seeking to build up on what already exists. We hope this retreat might be an extension of our regular lunch gatherings, fostering connection and mutual support within our ministry community. Key Information: There are 2 options for this retreat: the overnight retreat, and the day away retreat. The Overnight Retreat: Sometimes a night away does wonders for our sleep patterns! Join us at High Leigh from 5pm on Wednesday the 19th of March. We will have dinner together, share in some evening reflection and games. The following morning will include opportunities for prayer, reflection, and breakfast before we are joined by the day guests. The Day Away Retreat: To take time away from our contexts can be a great way to invest in our ministry. Join us at High Leigh from 9.30am on Thursday the 20th of March. The day's programme will include time for reflection, prayer, fellowship and workshops on spiritual practices. We will share lunch together, and be ready to head home at 4pm. Cancellations: Please note this retreat is fully funded and spaces are limited. If you cancel your booking with less than 4 weeks notice we may charge you if your place is not refilled.
