The QCF approved qualification came into effect on 1st October 2013, along with new guidance on assessing the needs of First Aid in your workplace. Your risk assessments of First Aid needs may well identify the need for Emergency First Aiders at Work (EFAW) either as an addition to your First Aiders (3-day), or where your Company activities are low risk. A lot of our Clients have requested this course as extra cover when working on construction sites or similar works covered by the Principal Contractors trained site first aiders and for smaller works. Aims To give a basic knowledge to help you deal with any Emergency First Aid at Work. Course Content • Responsibilities and reporting • Assessment of the situation • Basic hygiene in First Aid • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Resuscitation and AED (defib) • Heart attacks • Bleeding • Minor injuries • Choking • Shock • Seizures. Prerequisites None - The course is intended either as an introduction or as a refresher. Assessment Delegates will be required to pass a multiple-choice test at the end of the training. (In addition, the HSE strongly recommend that all students undergo an annual refresher programme of about 3 hours, although this is not mandatory). Certificate On successful completion of the course, all delegates will receive a certificate of attendance. This is course will give you EVERYTHING you need to become a VTCT Level 3 Qualified Skin Specialist. Why do you need THIS course? Previously the beauty industry had very lax regulation and you could start your business with just CPD accreditation. However, insurance companies, professional skin care brands and professional equipment providers are now looking for qualifications like VTCT as these are a set standard that require assignments and exams at a very minimum of Level 2 and in most cases Level 3. This means a combination of both VTCT and CPD means your business will meet industry standards What is the difference between CPD and VTCT? Qualifications are listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which is the national framework of UK qualifications, and the certificate of achievement is issued by an Awarding Organisation. Your certificate means you are ‘qualified’ in that subject CPD is a piece of training developed by an individual or organisation that sits outside the regulated qualifications framework.
