This course is available to those who have already completed a dry needling foundation course and wish to add acupuncture for pain relief to their toolbox. Only acupuncture points and clinical reasoning will be taught mostly within a western framework, but traditional Chinese medicine will be explained as well. This could also be beneficial to someone who wishes to return to using acupuncture, but has not practiced for some time. To successfully complete this course there will be a short practical test and a 2000 word case study to ensure that a sufficient level of competancy and understanding has been achieved to safely practice acupuncture. Barts Health NHS Trust will be running its inaugural Level 4 Children Safeguarding training day at the Education Academy of the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, London on the 10th October 2025. The course is aimed at Named Professionals in Children’s Safeguarding who are already established in role but need to keep their learning up to date at level 4 in line with the Safeguarding Children and Young People: Roles and Competencies for Healthcare Staff (Intercollegiate Document).
