Course Details The NRSWA Unit 1 course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to sign, light and guard Street works and roadworks in line with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, revised 2002 Code of Practice. This course covers the setting out of traffic lights, signs, cones and barriers. If you supervise these works, then you will need the Unit 10 course. Product objectives include: Producing a plan of an intended site showing the position of signs, guarding and traffic signals - to include all distances, sizes, and dimensions required; Producing a list of equipment for the intended site; Fault finding on roadworks layouts; Position, test, adjust, commission and decommission temporary traffic signals; Conducting the activities safely wearing the appropriate safety wear.

Course Details Any persons carrying out non-licensed works with asbestos containing materials, as laid down in CAR 2012, Reg 3(2). This would normally include, but is not limited to, trade operatives such as demolition workers, construction workers, general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters and decorators, joiners, shop fitters, plasterers, roofers, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication engineers, computer installers, fire and burglar alarm installers, architects, building surveyors and other such professionals or any other persons likely to disturb and carry out work on asbestos containing materials as defined in CAR 2012.

The five day National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ) will provide the learner with the knowledge and skills required in order to provide professional patrolling and water services, in surf conditions, with rescue skills and advanced fitness requirements. Many aspects of the course are physically demanding and WILL include running, swimming to set times and some lifting. This award is comprised of a variety of units and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification.

Managing the background's colours and graphics, choosing the point of view, directing the model - these are all points that will be covered during the course.Light control is an equally important aspect; in particular, analysing a given moment's light and using it wisely are elements that will be explained to help you make a successful portrait.This workshop will teach you:- How to observe the environment so as to guide your aesthetic choices: point of view, directing a model- How to "read" light and place your subject accordingly- How to correctly define parameters in your camera according to your desired result- How to frame and compose an image to highlight the subjectThe workshop includes a theoretical explanation, a main "practical" part, as well as a class debriefing at the end.
