<h4>Now think about the opposite. Maybe a team where conflict was rife, a place where people are afraid to speak openly and honestly. Work is stressful, the business is failing and your customers are unhappy. You were probably actively on the lookout for something better.<p></p>
<p>You may have experienced both scenarios or neither. But we can probably predict which scenario you preferred. An effective team doesn't come into existence by accident. There are lots of things you can do to make your team a high-performing one.</p>
<p>It begins with clearly defined roles for your team members that will help keep them on track and achieve their targets. Observing them at work will identify their strengths and weaknesses, which will enable you to match training to their learning styles and get involved in their learning by coaching them.</p></h4>

Course Summary
This NPORS course is designed for delegates with existing MEWP knowledge. It will enable them to understand the role and responsibilities of a MEWP Supervisor.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course delegates should be able to answer and perform the following:
Have a basic understanding of working at height equipment, the dangers of working at height, selection of work equipment, procedures to work safely within the environment

NPORS Appointed Person (N401)

<p data-key="3" fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;"><span data-key="4" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">All independent schools must meet all the paragraphs of the Independent School Standards in order to maintain their registration and keep their doors open. The DfE is very strict about this requirement as can be seen by the way they regulate and enforce this legislation. Under the 2019 Education Inspection Framework, failing to meet the standards almost guarantees an &ldquo;inadequate&rdquo; inspection judgment. </span></p>
<p data-key="5" fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;"><span data-key="6" fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">The latest Ofsted statistics show that:</span></p>

Background
All independent schools must meet all the paragraphs of the Independent School Standards in order to maintain their registration and keep their doors open. The DfE is very strict about this requirement as can be seen by the way they regulate and enforce this legislation. Under the 2019 Education Inspection Framework, failing to meet the standards almost guarantees an “inadequate” inspection judgment. 
The latest Ofsted statistics show that:
• 23% of Independent Schools that had a standard between September 2022 and August 2023 failed to meet the standards.
• 52% of those that had a progress monitoring inspection during the same period failed to demonstrate that they had addressed previously un-met standards. 
Through our work with independent schools, we know why schools fail to meet the requirements of the standards. We have developed a proven strategy to ensure consistent compliance. We’re sharing this strategy through this workshop for Headteachers and SLTs.

Course Content
Candidates will be able to:

Understand the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular machine to be used
Locate and identify the major components of the machine and explain their functions

Our Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) refresher training courses, available both online and in-person, are designed for managers and individuals in positions of authority who completed their original SMSTS training program less than three years ago.

Aims
Participants will undertake a concise yet equally engaging training program covering all essential aspects of enforcing health and safety codes of practice at construction sites. Topics include in-depth discussions on risk assessments and effective methods for monitoring and managing industry-specific hazards.

Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Refresher
