We run regular Emergency First Aid at Work public courses or we can bring our training to you. Includes free annual refresher video training. Ideal for low risk organisations.

You have 2 options here: Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) is a 1 day course designed to prepere you for worst case scenarios with children and babies. 1 day face to face 9am untill 4pm Paediatric First Aid Blended (PFAB) is a 2 day course covering everything from EPFA above and adding on a range of additional conditions and injuries you may need to deal with when caring for children. 2 days, 1 online in your own time and 1 classroom day 9am to 5.15 pm First Aid Training is a relaxed and enjoyable day, assessment will not be stressful, we aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple choice assessments for First Aid qualifications. First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and recovery position.

This qualification is for unsupported outdoor or adventure activity leaders, typically operating in situations where help is less than a few hours away, e.g. outdoor instructors, outdoor learning practitioners, mountain leaders, Duke of Edinburgh assessors, bushcraft instructors, forest school leaders, canoe expedition leaders. This list is not exhaustive.

Trauma Informed Practice in Education is a research evidence based whole school systems approach that starts with you. Improved attendance, improved learning outcomes, reduced suspensions and exclusions and better staff recruitment, retention and wellbeing all begin from a place of understanding child development, the impact of adversity on child development and the role of us as educators in supporting opportunities for growth and resilience. Systems change takes teamwork, however the most important member of that team is you. On this Trauma Informed Practice Day you will learn the why and how to keep you well and resourced in order to support the emotional and academic progress of the children in your school. You may already have some knowledge or you may be coming as a complete novice. Either and anything in between is fine. Numbers are limited to keep the group small for the benefit of more enriched learning. On this practice day you will; • Take a deep learning dive into the nervous system and how this applies to you, your setting and the progress of your learners. • Learn practical skills and strategies to support yourself and others. • Have opportunities to discuss children you are working with through small group supervision sessions • Benefit from a day of immersion into the topic with two highly qualified and experienced practitioners.

A relaxed, fun course covering the basics of first aid; CPR, Dealing with Unconsciousness and Dealing with Choking. This course is recognised as a refresher for all First Aid Qualifications and a chance to get together with other first aiders and discuss all things first aid. It is not the same as a requalifier. If your certificate is due to expire you must attend a full course.

The Emergency First Aid At Work course covers worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor injuries. It is aimed at those working in lower risk areas such as offices and shops. You will need to attend a full 7 hours of trining (breaks included) First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. Please note that First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and Recovery Position. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in, and, if possible, please let us know ahead of time if there is anything we can do to help support you and your enjoyment of the day.

The visit is a couple of hours to walk around the farm and get hands on, in a safe way with baby lambs and/or tractors and ask questions about poo or dinosaurs and anything else that pops into their heads. You can stay longer and play in the fields if the weather is nice but dont forget it sometimes snows in April!!! We've been running these visits for a few years now, they are government funded so entirely free to you. We are all DBS checked with years of working with children under our belts, the visit is fully risk assessed and we ask that you do a pre visit so that you know what you're coming to. There is indoor and outdoor space to bring your own picnic and loads of parking for a minibus. We can give you a nice cup of tea and ensure the children are safe and clean before you go home. It's perfect for any age group but primary get particular joy and great learning from being on a real working farm. Students must also meet the English language entry requirements of: • IELTS minimum score of 4.5 or above OR • GCE ‘O’ Level English D7 or above Alternatively, a student can take the free NCC Education Higher English Placement Test which is administered by our Accredited Partner Centre’s.
