The course day includes; Health and safety discussion and a run-through of vital inspections and checks prior to work. Advanced chemical and decontamination skills and knowledge. Pre-polishing preparation - clay bars, solvent cleaners and mechanical decontamination. Machine polishing skills, and the health and safety requirements for their usage. Interior odour removal and deep cleaning techniques. Stone chip and small area scratch removal and refinement. Please note: Stage 1 must be completed before Stage 2, though they can be booked on consecutive days. With the combined Stage 1 and 2 certification, attendees will be able to address various valeting requirements and can complete quite complex jobs efficiently, and satisfactorily in-house. P400 - Asbestos Surveying and Analysis is a one day foundation level course, which provides candidates with the fundamental knowledge to start a career in the asbestos surveying and analysis professions, and as a progression route to the asbestos Proficiency qualifications. It gives candidates an introductory level of knowledge on the health risks of asbestos fibres, and how to manage asbestos-containing materials in their work. Candidates for this course are not expected to have prior knowledge and experience but having an awareness of the contents of both HSG248 Asbestos: The analysts' guide (July 2021) and HSG264 Asbestos: the survey guide January 2010), would be advantageous.

We have developed the non-licensed training to cover work for land remediation contractors working on asbestos-contaminated sites. Including: Interpretation of CAR Regulations to asbestos-contaminated land. This will include 'litter-picking' surface contamination and form contaminated soil. Site segregation, decontamination procedures and air monitoring expectations.

This course provides the delegate with the theoretical and practical skills to undertake non-licensed works with ACM's. Persons requiring this type of training would include trade operatives undertaking tasks with ACM's as defined in HSG210 and in accordance with CAR 2012 Reg 3(2). In addition to the Asbestos Awareness, those employees whose work will knowingly disturb ACMs, and which is defined as non-licensable work or NNLW, should receive additional task-specific information, instruction and training.

This course provides the delegate with the theoretical and practical skills to undertake non-licensed works with ACM's.
