To successfully complete the qualification learners will have to sit an Evolve on-line test comprising of a 50 MCQ and a practical assignment. The practical consists of 3 tasks which are: Task 1 is inspect and test Class I equipment, Task 2 is inspect and test Class II equipment (this will be either unearthed metal or without unearthed metal or Class II FE – Learners will not need to do all 3 of these, they only need to do one type), Task 3 is completing the record forms

Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however we do expect you to meet the following requirements: Minimum age 18 years old (mandatory) Must be able to demonstrate the following competencies Be able to correctly install and terminate: pvc/pvc cable (twin and earth) Steel Wire armoured cable (swa) Be able to carry out an initial verification (inspection & testing) on an electrical installation and complete the necessary paperwork. Please Note: These competencies are required for the assessment and are not taught as part of the course. It is also recommended that you are up to date with your wiring regulations.

Anyone who operates or intends to be operating lorry mounted cranes (sometimes referred to as HIAB’s) should undertake training as is required by the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. This course is made to suit novice operators, and are designed to ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment. HIAB is really a brand name and the correct term for the equipment is ‘lorry mounted crane’ or ‘lorry loader crane’ (when mounted to a commercial vehicle).
