We are a craft organisation and registered charity based in Leigh Park, Hampshire, with impact across the UK. We literally make space for people and organisations involved in craft, through a programme of workshops and experiences that are co-created with community partners and through consultation with local people. Our specially tailored projects inspire, challenge, skill-up, engage and build new audiences for the sector. They have lasting local impact, and are often transformational for participants. Working in collaboration with local charities, essential need services and community groups we are inclusive to all, making space for a thriving, creative community. We offer both first-time experiences of craft and work with those who want to take their skills to the next level. We enable people to develop new ways of thinking about craft and experience first-hand the important presence of craft in everyday life. Raising the profile of craft in all its forms, we work with local and national arts organisations, contributing to debate, supporting makers and providing opportunities. Clean Break uses theatre to keep the subject of women in prison on the cultural radar, helping to reveal the damage caused by the criminal justice system. Through our unique work, we raise difficult questions, inspire debate, and help to effect profound and positive change in the lives of women with experience of the criminal justice system. Since 1979, Clean Break has been the only women’s theatre company of its kind, and we continue to inspire playwrights and captivate audiences with our ground-breaking plays on the complex theme of women and criminalisation. Through theatre workshops and projects in prisons and in the community which build confidence, resilience and wellbeing, we transform the lives of women who have experienced the criminal justice system or who are at risk of entering it due to the challenges they are facing, such as mental health or drug use issues, which place them in circumstances that make interaction with the criminal justice system difficult to avoid. Our Members Programme is available to women aged 18 and above. The Programme offers a range of workshops and performance opportunities led by esteemed female theatre artists, underpinned by comprehensive support. Clean Break’s women-only identity is crucial to our rationale. The treatment of women by the criminal justice system is one of the clearest demonstrations that our society is still unequal and that women are judged by different standards to men. Our vision is of a society where women can realise their full potential, free from criminalisation, and we believe that theatre enables women to challenge their oppression by society in general and by the criminal justice system in particular.

THROUGH CROSS-CULTURE AND CROSS-DISCIPLINE COLLABORATIONS AND EXPLORATIONS, IMMUTO IMMERSES THE AUDIENCE IN SENSORY SPACES AND LAYERED NARRATIVES THAT CAN CHANGE HOW PEOPLE FEEL, THINK AND ACT - FOR CULTURAL, URBAN AND BRAND ENVIRONMENTS. -- Founder and artistic director of Immuto, Francesca Lando is a visual artist. She creates immersive installations, often inspired by the intersections of science and spirituality and developed through interdisciplinary collaborations. Her fascination with the transformational power of spaces and embodied knowledge is intertwined with the storytelling experience gathered in the marketing world. Her projects play with our senses and sense of self to tell stories that cannot be told with words alone, in a long term research on the themes of identity and union. Art works so far include: Invisible Labyrinth 2021, an installation and video choreography for Spazio Leonardo in collaboration with UNA gallery; Once Upon Us 2019, a cross-disciplinary installation, workshop and debate in collaboration with Queen Mary University and London Festival of Architecture; Light of the Forest 2018-2019, an immersive and sensory installation selected for Art Fair Finland 2019.
