Special Edition 2 hour class learning choreo and dancing under a rain effect machine.  A professional videographer will capture our performances and everyone will get an edit.  You will absolutely get drenched, however if you’re desperate to keep hair dry (trust me I get it😂) we can have the machine turned off at the end and you can dance in the puddles lol Bring a towel! There are no showers. Just 2 small changing rooms and a toilet. Please arrive 15 mins early so that we are ready to go at 3!!

“Music is the movement of sound to reach the soul for the education of its virtue.” - Plato Our Singing and Audition Masterclass is one of the highlights of the Academy, and an incredible learning opportunity for anyone looking to improve their singing, get started in musical theatre, and perfect audition pieces in order to start attending casting calls or applying to drama schools. The 2-day Masterclass is taught by two amazing tutors: Kath Harman - Kath studied Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy in London, and her career highlights include performing with Dua Lipa at the Brit Awards, and travelling the world with Carnival Cruise Line. Emma Hatton - Emma graduated from LSMT and her big break came in 2009 when she made her West End debut - originating the role of Donna in Dreamboats and Petticoats. Following this triumph, she was cast in We Will Rock You as an understudy for the roles of Scarmouche and Meat. Emma has also played Elphaba in Wicked and has a variety of other on-stage credits. Whatever your experience level, this brilliant course will help you break out of your comfort zone in a supportive environment and walk away with an audition toolkit that you can use to start applying to further education or working in the industry. If you have questions about how industry auditions work, Kath and Emma can demystify the process! While the focus of this course is musical theatre, you can choose to work on songs outside of this genre if you like. Please note: Prior to starting the course, we ask all students to submit two songs they would like to work on to In2Drama's Musical Associate Simon Fraser, who will accompany you on piano during the course. Our team will help you capture the very best bits of your performances and a brilliant headshot that you can use to apply for future castings and opportunities. The Singing and Audition Masterclass takes place in Cranleigh Arts Centre, around 20 minutes from Guildford. The venue has a professional theatre, a sprung dance floor for choreography sessions, dressing rooms, and lots of great areas for filming and multimedia activities, so it's the perfect spot for our aspiring performers to learn in. ‍ Thursday 25th - Friday 26th July 2024 In2Drama is split into two groups for age related focus 11-15 year olds: 9am - 12pm 16-21 year olds: 1pm - 4pm Presentation: 4.30pm - 5pm

(4-6yrs) Mini Movers is an introduction to more structured ballet dance and movement based class. The session includes Ballet and an introduction to JazzPops. TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. TERM BOOKINGS: You are welcome to watch the first class but following this your WhizzDancer will be expected to go in the class independently. You will be expected to provide full uniform. Details will be sent following. We have lots of opportunities ahead for your WhizzDancer including exams and shows. Combined with an introduction to Tap class, incorporating the work of the ISTD Primary Class along with some toe tapping and super fun stomping choreography!  TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. “Filmmaking is a chance to live many lifetimes” - Robert Altman Our Film Production Course is led by highly experienced videographer and cinematographer Max Jewell-Smith, and award-winning actor and producer Henry Hereford, who has been working in the industry for more than 20 years in the UK, Australia and the US. Henry is a producer with the production company, Fluffy Cat, who have worked on films such as For The Love Of George, To Leslie, and Well Behaved Woman, so he has plenty of unique insight to share with students. With a mix of technical skills, script writing and acting, students on our Film Production course will work together to create a short film that they will showcase on Friday. ‍ WHEN AND WHERE? This can cover fixing vocal issues or obstacles, developing and broadening technique and understanding how the voice works for all genres of music and singing styles. I utilise the Estill Model in my teaching as well as training and experience working with various singing teachers throughout the industry.

With experience in music technology, composing, producing music for video, film scoring, composition and more, Jack’s expertise will help guide budding music producers on their journey to creating amazing music for a variety of formats.  Jack is currently studying a BA in Musical Theatre at the Conservatoire, and also has professional training at Hurtwood House, Guildford School of Acting and Stagecoach in a number of musical styles and genres, as well as experience in musical theatre audition technique, so he is a great asset to our teaching faculty who can advise in a number of areas. When you join this 2-day intensive course, you’ll learn the art of production which can help every type of creative to showcase their musical talents in the best way. This course will help students develop skills to produce music for outlets such as film and television soundtracks, and music videos, and musicians will even have the opportunity to write and play contemporary music for performance. ‍ WHEN AND WHERE? You will have a supportive environment to ask any questions you have about auditioning for drama schools or casting calls, and explore many acting techniques with the help of an industry professional.
