We hold regular meetings with a range of speakers; giving members the opportunity to exchange views, network and obtain information on topical issues. We send regular correspondence to ensure that members are kept up to date with events, local or national government policy & regulatory changes that impact on the Independent Sector. Membership of GCPA is considered a sign of a progressive organisation, committed to delivering the highest standards of care and keen to play an active part in the county’s wider social care community. Representatives of the Gloucestershire Care Providers Association attend regular strategic and liaison meetings with Social Care Officers, to discuss and review contracts, procedures and other issues. We also work very closely with the NHS, including the Clinical Commissioning Group and Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust throughout the county, working together on a variety of initiatives aimed both at tackling immediate issues facing vulnerable people and designing better ways of working for the future. In addition we have strong links with CQC (Care Quality Commission) and regularly liaise with Senior County Councillors, local MPs, local authority Commissioners and other decision makers, influencers and interested organisations. The GCPA adheres to a Consititution which all members of The Association sign up to at point of Membership Application. The Consititution can be found here.

My journey started in 2013 when I dug out a dusty vintage Singer sewing machine and taught myself how to make bags. I created my first collection from the bedroom of my flat, opened an Etsy shop and the rest is history! I love the whole process of designing and making - from coming up with the initial idea to handpicking each element from fabrics to hardware, focusing not only on functionality but on aesthetics and originality. My aim is to create beautiful products that are made with care and attention to detail with a focus on sustainable and ethical manufacturing. I have always been inspired by my travels around the globe, especially the beautiful patterns of Japan and the bold, colourful fabrics of Bali. My aim is to create sustainable, unique and practical bags that reflect your values and bring a little sunshine into your world! I really hope you enjoy using my products as much I enjoy designing and making them. You might have known me as Maybe Mabel in the past. In September 2021 I changed my business name, you can read about the change over on the blog post.

I wanted to create and express who I was through painting, design, photography and dancing. I wanted to work with colours and shapes. Instead, I was encouraged to pursue a more conventional path and went on studying accounting. It took me a long time to discover, or rather re-discover, my passion. I didn’t choose this purposeful path until I was in my early thirties. I spent the last ten years of my life working in the corporate world before following my true calling. I did enjoy my job in Finance but I wasn’t 100% fulfilled. I clearly wasn’t making use of my strengths and talents. This was frustrating and affected my self-esteem.

Toni Jarvis is a qualified Project Manager with 30 years of business expertise. Along with fellow directors John Newton, Niall O'Hagan, Marielle Newton & Pat Burgess we run Tiger Community Enterprise CIC. The community enterprise was set up to support enterprises and assist individuals and organisations to grow. Whilst we started with a focus on supporting local businesses and community organisations we have evolved to encompass the delivery of projects that support our core aims - to help people help themselves. We work in conjunction with partners to offer the widest range of options to the community to enhance their own skills and opportunities. Whether that be to build work skills to move down the career path, showcase talents and/or business, offer empowerment opportunities in the community to build confidence, communication, and contacts to avoid social isolation or to do our bit for the planet through our recycling project. In April 2022 we opened Tiger Community Hub in Nottingham City Centre to allow us to support a wider range of the Nottingham community.
