Top Achievers' Programme

top achievers' programme

Bedford

:The hallmark of the Top Achievers’ Programme (TAP) is to be part of each TAP Scholar’s journey – whatever their social, cultural or economic background – in achieving their fullest potential in University admission. Our strong belief in the Widening Participation agenda makes us especially passionate about raising aspiration, boosting confidence, and thereby enabling social mobility. Our Goal: The main goal of the Top Achievers’ Programme (TAP) is for every TAP Scholar to successfully apply to their best-fit University including Russell Group Universities and Medical/Dental Schools in the UK. Our Commitment: Top Achievers’ Programme (TAP) promises to be intellectually stimulating and enriching to every TAP Scholar, providing the information, support, and skills required for gaining a place at a University and Course of their choice. Our Success: Each year, TAP Scholars go on to study in prestigious Universities across the UK. Here is a little bit about one of our most recently successful TAP Scholars – Joshua. Having 9 A* and 1 A GCSE Grades, plus 38 IB Points, Joshua applied to 4 UK Medical Schools. His academic profile was very strong, and not surprisingly, he was invited to interview at all 4 Medical Schools. However, he was rejected by the first 2 Medical Schools with whom he initially interviewed. Following this, his mum contacted us, and Joshua got enrolled on the Top Achievers’ Programme to improve his chances of succeeding at the remaining 2 interviews. Working with a dedicated TAP Consultant, a rigorous Interview Preparation package was drawn up for Joshua. This drastically improved his interview skills, improving his chances of gaining a place to study Medicine. His subsequent 2 interviews then took place, and he received offers from both Medical Schools. Joshua is now studying Medicine at a London Medical School.

Autism Bedfordshire’s services help break down the barriers to social participation for autistic people and their families by providing places where they can go and feel comfortable, accepted and not judged by society. With the encouragement and support of specialist trained staff we help autistic people build their confidence, self-esteem, and social skills through taking part in social activities and mixing with other people. Furthermore, we help them to develop practical skills and independence which will improve their prospects in life and help them be part of the community. Our aspirations are for them to have the same opportunities as people who are not on the spectrum, so that they can enjoy fulfilled and rewarding lives. How we can help The physical and emotional stress of looking after an autistic child or adult is a huge strain on the parents and we want them to feel that they are not alone in their struggles. They can come to us for practical advice, information and emotional support so that they will be better equipped to cope with and care for their autistic children and any other siblings. We provide opportunities for them to have a guilt-free break from their caring responsibilities, safe in the knowledge their autistic child is being well looked after by staff who understand the challenges that autism can present. Communities Finally, we raise awareness of autism in the community in order to reduce misunderstanding about the condition. Through training and informative talks we educate schools, local businesses and community groups about the sort of behaviours that an autistic person may display and how best to respond to and be supportive of them. With our increasing presence at community events, members of the public can also become more knowledgeable about and accepting of autism. In this way we hope that autistic people will find it easier to engage with and integrate into mainstream society.

Hinchingbrooke School

hinchingbrooke school

Cambridgeshire

It is my privilege to welcome you to Hinchingbrooke School; a remarkable school in many ways Hinchingbrooke is set in acres of beautiful grounds and adjoining a country park. Hinchingbrooke House was formerly the family home of the Cromwells and of the Earls of Sandwich. The school finds inspiration from its heritage and gives both staff and students a very special pride and a sense of identity that we capture in the phrase: We are Hinchingbrooke. Our Mission is a clear statement of why the school exists; our Values provide solid foundations for our work to develop our students as great people; and our Key Focuses make clear that we understand well what matters most in school – you will find the detail of our Mission, Values and Key Focuses below. School is about much more than examination results, important as those are. Our students’ wellbeing is paramount: we aim to know every one of our students, we want them to be happy, and we also want every one of them to feel there is someone in school to whom they can turn, if and when they need to. Our strong sense of community is captured in our pastoral work through HBK.COM. Beyond the classroom, we aim to provide a wide range of high-value extra-curricular opportunities for our students to meet their needs and interests, to develop them as well-rounded young people and, crucially, to enable them to have fun! The educational experience at Hinchingbrooke brings change, challenge and opportunity. Our students’ personal response to these goes a long way to determining their quality of life after leaving school, which is why from day 1, we emphasise Hard Work, High Standards, and Kindness. The school is well served by a team of highly committed teachers and support staff, working in partnership with governors and parents to provide the very best possible education for our young people. There is an immense vitality here and a real sense of togetherness. Hinchingbrooke students develop their confidence and skills to become well-rounded young adults, ready to take their next steps, whatever those may be. By being a part of history they develop a sense of heritage and, by looking forward and preparing for their very different and exciting futures, they develop a sense of destiny too. We are proud of our students and if you take the opportunity to come and meet us, we believe you will see why.

The Seeds Of Change Uk

Buckinghamshire,

To put it simply, we do it because we know that our methods genuinely work and can change lives. Our coaches find nothing more fulfilling than helping a learner to trust, learn and grow. We make BOLD claims about the work that we do at The Seeds of Change We make BOLD claims about the way that horses can help all of us to overcome challenges in life which limit our ability or potential in some way. We can do this, because we have almost 15 years of experience working with thousands of people and have seen the results for ourselves. We set ourselves a simple target to enable people to make a change in their life for good. To meet that objective, we are flexible, agile, experienced and totally focused on every individual who works with us - constantly refining and adapting our sessions to meet the present needs as they arise, but always focused on a longer-term objective as defined at the start. We are continuously learning and developing our work, and never cease stretching the potential of what can be achieved, whether that be in the real or virtual world. Every day we witness new and amazing ways our horses and clients interact with each other and this inspires the way we work. After all, the most important therapeutic tool is the connection between client and horse – we are just the facilitators! We work with adults, families and children. We are commissioned by Local Authorities, schools, support agencies, and parents, both as funded and private referrals. We have worked with more than 5000 clients, many of whom are children who are highly vulnerable or are experiencing socially debilitating conditions and present a vast array of behaviours when they are referred to us. Some of the stories of what they have achieved are simply amazing. View our case studies and testimonials to discover more… We can deliver sessions in person and virtual courses - more details of these can be found here. If you are looking for a fresh, non-judgemental, confidential, and effective way to move forwards in life, then consider The Seeds of Change. We cannot think of a better place to start to make a change for life than outside in the fresh air with a horse. Please get in touch to find out more about our approach and the way our sessions work. We offer sessions on a 1-1 basis which aim to overcome specific challenges. We offer supportive group sessions which can aid social development, help to build relationships, and encourage confidence and positive interactions in the wider social environment. We offer a range of academic courses which support educational development and transition into the workplace, including City and Guilds qualifications. We adhere to strict Safeguarding and Compliance documents and procedures to meet all Educational Standards. And most excitingly we can also now offer our work virtually to enable clients from further away to access our work too.

Leadership Identity Through Self-Discovery

5.0(1)

By Puritas

This module focuses on developing leadership confidence through self-discovery, emphasising the importance of understanding one's unique leadership style and personal philosophy. Participants will explore their core identity as leaders and learn strategies to enhance their influence, credibility, and relationships within their organisation. Exploring the link between self-discovery and effective leadership, focusing on developing confidence to lead from within. Testimonial: “Without guidance, personal branding can quickly become an exercise in aspiration and competition; letting the carefully curated public personas of others dictate our own validity and definition of success. Clarity on who we truly are, what matters to us and therefore how we position ourselves in the world takes reflection and time. Rachael’s work in this area has inspired the nearly 100 delegates who have been part of our HR Leadership Academy over the past 8 years, and I have no doubt will continue to resonate with future cohorts.” MD, Nina Metson - Suffolk
