Supervising first aid for mental health: What will you learn? You’ll be surprised by how much you enjoy this 2-day course. I always make sure the learning process is engaging, interactive and stimulating — so you won’t be bored. Most importantly, the training course gives you a fascinating insight into a subject that’s often brushed under the carpet. This is a safe space to speak. Provided you feel comfortable to do so, there’s plenty of opportunity to open up and share your own experiences. It’s a flexible course, and I’m always happy to tailor the content. If there’s an aspect of mental health or addiction you’d like to know more about, please just ask. Here’s the course content Defining mental health, and understanding the stigma surrounding it Factors which affect mental health Roles and responsibilities of a first aider Outline of advice — What to say to someone with a suspected mental health condition Listening without judgement Knowing when to contact the emergency services Identifying signs of stress, and how stress can be managed Alcohol and drug abuse — Its effects, and the consequences for someone’s work and personal life Applying a first aid action plan How to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace Identifying signs and symptoms of depression, suicide, psychosis, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, bipolar and schizophrenia Do bear in mind, this course can’t teach you how to diagnose and treat a mental health condition. That’s the responsibility of a healthcare professional. However, you’ll know where to signpost an individual who needs professional help. The one day National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Proficiency Award will re-qualify the learner with the knowledge and skills required in order to provide professional patrolling and water services, in surf conditions, with rescue skills and advanced fitness requirements. Aspects of the course are physically demanding and will include running, swimming to set times and some lifting. The Award is comprised of a variety of units and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification. There is a minimum of 20 hours learning required for this course is. As this is not achievable within the one day period it is prior learning and continual professional development will be assessed before being able to sign on to the course. As well as this CPD a certain amount of pre course learning will need to take place before the course commences.

The Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) is usually a one-year pre-university qualification that provides students with an entry route to an overseas university. The L3IFDHES prepares students with the essential English language skills, key transferable study skills, cultural knowledge, and chosen specialisms that universities feel bridges the gap between high school and undergraduate study. In January 2023 we offer pathways in business and higher finance. With agreements in place with over 70 universities across the globe, students’ can progress with confidence to a higher education course for further study. Entry Requirements For entry onto the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES) qualification students must have successfully completed secondary school education. A showreel allows them to see you in action through a series of short video clips. While taking part in the Academy, you will have the chance to purchase optional headshots and a showreel to showcase your talents. Our team will help you capture the very best bits of your performances and a brilliant headshot that you can use to apply for future castings and opportunities. As a list 5 BD Dressage judge I can help you with test riding for BD Intro, Prelim and Novice tests. I can help with BE 90, 100 & Novice tests.
