At City Gongfu KIDS, we focus on the development of the individual. Classes are carefully geared to specific age groups so learning is fun, structured and engaging. Training involves a range of drills, partner exercises, games and forms to ensure that practice is enjoyable and challenging. As well as the obvious health, fitness and self-defence benefits, children learn the values of respect, self-discipline, teamwork, avoiding conflict and helping others through our kung fu code of conduct. Fees are paid on a term basis. Students can also gain club membership and progress through the club grading system in which they are awarded coloured belts for each level achieved. Club membership entitles students to also access extra grading practice events during the year. Fees apply for students opting for annual membership and our grading programme. We are an inclusive club but please note that as there is only one instructor (Sifu Kee), our group classes might not be suitable for some children with specific support requirements. When booking a teachers' course you will be asked to complete a needs analysis. Information on previous experience, competence levels and actual situation is important in order to ensure that the course focuses on the precise needs of each cohort of teachers. In some cases there will also be a pre-course task to complete. During the course each participant will keep a learning journal and be asked to produce an action plan. An end of course certificate is issued detailing course content, hours and dates, while continued post-course support is provided through social media and email. This QR code is unique to you and therefore your ID card acts as your bus pass. If you did not have a pass last year but wish to have one this year (and you live more than 1.5 miles away from your campus and are studying a substantial course), please see the Bursary team in Programme Management to apply. You will be able to travel on the buses without your pass until you have been given your new ID card during your first week. If it is your first year, you will be issued your FREE Warrington’s Own Buses bus pass at enrolment. The bus pass will be printed as a QR code on your College ID card. Your College ID card is also your bus pass, so you must keep it safe and you will need it with you to access Warrington’s Own Buses services by scanning it on the bus.
