Hello little stars and welcome to our Ballet Beginners Dance Class, lovingly designed for our tiniest dancers aged between 3 and 5. Ready to dip your toes into the magical world of ballet and take your first dance steps? If your heart is saying a big "Yes!", then we are thrilled to welcome you on board! Ballet is more than just a dance form; it's an enchanting story told through movement and grace. Our Ballet Beginners class is a gentle introduction to this beautiful dance style. From the moment your little one steps into our ballet studio, they'll be embarking on an exciting journey of discovery and growth. In our class, we'll start with the very basics of ballet. We'll be learning essential dance steps, from the lovely "plié" to the elegant "relevé". Our caring and professional instructors will guide your child through these first steps, ensuring they learn in a nurturing and fun environment. But ballet is about more than just dance steps. We'll also be focusing on balance, coordination, and posture, helping to develop muscle strength and flexibility. Through a variety of fun activities and exercises, your child will not only become a budding ballet dancer but also develop as a confident little mover! (5-7yrs) The syllabus is based on the ISTD grade however we do also incorporate an imaginative playful approach to the work to keep the Ballet fun. As well as using a range of music from the latest pop songs to great musical theatre songs (old and new!) JazzPops offers a range of dance throughout the term with a dash of some musical games TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. TERM BOOKINGS: You are welcome to watch the first class but following this your WhizzDancer will be expected to go in the class independently. You will be expected to provide full uniform. (8-10yrs) Tap uses a different skill set to Ballet and Jazz as the emphasise is on creating rhythm and sound using footwork. Due to the nature of Tap, the physicality of the work is mainly focused on the legs, hips, knees and ankles and of course those tapping feet! Tap teaches a great sense of rhythm, timing and musical awareness.
