I founded The City Workshop Edinburgh as I want to bring the joy of art and craft making to as many people as I can. I never tire of seeing the happiness that creating art brings and I believe that art is for everyone. So whether you think you're 'not any good at art' or you have always loved making, I hope you'll come and enjoy creating in my little workshop in Edinburgh. My Mission I believe that everyone can create art and my classes give you the confidence to make your own individual art and craft pieces. There are so many reasons to learn an artistic skill; whether you want to study traditional techniques or switch off from the pressures of life, we offer the perfect environment to try something new. Damian Callan is a practising figurative painter based in Edinburgh. He teaches drawing and painting classes for adults and art classes for children at his studio near Haymarket. In the spring and summer he runs landscape painting courses in and around Edinburgh. He is the author of two books, Paint Like Degas and Paint Like Renoir. His work is exhibited widely in the UK and is held in collections across the world. He has written articles for Artist & Illustrators Magazine and The Artist Magazine and regularly demonstrates drawing and painting techniques at public events in Edinburgh.

The British Society for Children's Orthopaedic Surgery was founded in 1984 to promote Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery in the UK. It provides a forum for discussion of research, advances in clinical practice and the results of surgical procedures pertaining to the practice of children's orthopaedics and trauma. Membership is open to UK practitioners for whom Children's Orthopaedics represents a substantial part of their practice and professional interest. Click here for more information about membership. The Society meets once a year for a two-day meeting involving lectures and papers, and contributes to instructional sessions at the annual British Orthopaedic Association Congress. BSCOS is affiliated to the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), The European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS) and the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), the Australian Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (APOS) and the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India (POSI).

Situated on Academy Lane we have access to safe, traffic free, public footpaths and cycle ways to allow our children and staff safe trips out in to the local community. Your child will be cared for in welcoming surroundings harmonising closely with your normal daily routine. Our caring and energetic staff provide a stimulating environment to encourage your child’s development, noting each milestone along the way in your child’s Learning Journal. We pride ourselves on working with the local community and currently have a spare room in the nursery which will allow us to hold extra-curricular classes accessible to children attending Scallywags Loanhead.
