At Clay With Carole we offer group classes for all ages and abilities in hand building in clay. During this thorough and enjoyable 6-week evening course you will learn how to prepare your clay, and the main methods of hand building. You will be introduced to a variety of decorating techniques, ceramic materials and glazing. Each week you will make your original pieces using a different technique of hand building and through the duration of the course you can experiment with decorating techniques, application of ceramic materials, and a range of glazes.

Join us for this free CPD workshop for educators seeking creative, art-based learning to develop oracy and critical thinking skills in their classrooms. This workshop is designed for educators who are keen to support the development of transferable communication skills. You do not need prior ceramics experience or art training to attend this session. Taking inspiration from our Transferer programme, this CPD workshop will support teachers who want to improve their students' oracy and critical thinking skills through the medium of clay.
At our MA Graduate Show 2025, postgraduate students from Arts University Plymouth will showcase a variety of exciting and dynamic research projects undertaken within our specialist postgraduate community of practice, working across specialisms that include painting, drawing, sculptural installation, moving image, design and ceramics. Work will be displayed in MIRROR gallery at Arts University Plymouth's Tavistock Place campus, and at our Studio 11 Building, on Regent Street (just a two minute walk from our main campus).
