Glastonbury Voice Healing Ceremony. Circle singing and Intuitive Voicework

Our purpose is to ensure that people of all ages, especially young people aged 12-35, are able to acquire the social and emotional benefits of creative music-making and multimedia activities. We work especially with those suffering from loneliness and isolation; communities disproportionately affected by the health crisis; and schoolchildren who are suffering from social isolation that sadly prevents them from achieving their potential.

Every Tuesday at 16:45 – 17:25 Our singing lessons are for beginners to advanced, from ages six to adults. Our students can choose to take Rockschool singing grades if they wish to. Although we specialize in Pop, Soul, Gospel, and RnB, the training we offer will also benefit other genres such as classical, Folk, Rock, and Jazz. Our lessons are focused on having a great time singing together and building our students’ confidence to perform in front of an audience. We provide several performance opportunities throughout the year from less informal showcases to more formal productions and recitals. A choir for People from the Global Majority to find community in song. Led by Aisha Ali (they/them), all songs will be taught by ear so no need to know how to read music. Songs will be in a variety of languages and sessions will be playful. We'll start every session with a grounding. This is a an Anti-Racist and solidarity space, rooted in joy.  When? 1st Sat of every month starting 6th April Where? Bristol Old Vic  What time? 3-5pm!!!! Every Wednesday at 18:15 – 18:55 The violin is a versatile and expressive instrument, perfect for players of all ages. At M&L School of Performing Arts, we equip our beginner violinists with essential techniques to play a range of styles, from classical to contemporary. Whether you’re new to the violin or have some experience, we offer a supportive and structured learning environment. Our group violin lessons foster skill development and a love for music. The lessons focus on bowing technique, finger positioning, reading music, rhythm exercises, and playing both solo and ensemble pieces. Playing in a group helps improve performance skills, builds confidence, and encourages collaboration. We welcome students of all ages and abilities, providing a fun and engaging atmosphere for families to learn and grow together through music. Every Friday at 16:30 – 17:15 (Newmarket Academy) or Every Saturday at 10:35 – 11:15 or 11:55 – 12:35 (Exning Community Church Hall) Drum kit playing has developed much over the years. At M&L Music School we equip our drummers with the necessary skills to play traditional and/or contemporary drum kit playing, teaching good technique from the beginning. We accommodate both beginners to advanced and we can offer Trinity Guildhall and Rock School grades depending on the level of playing and preferred style of Music. Our classes consist of stick technique, foot technique, coordination, rhythm imitations, tempo exercises, drum kit beats, sight-reading, fills, improvisation, and drum kit pieces. Every Wednesday at 16:50 – 17:30 (Newmarket Academy) or Every Saturday at 12:35 – 13:15 (Exning Community Church Hall) The piano is one of the most popular instruments among all western instruments. At M&L Music School we equip our piano players with all the necessary skills to play different styles of music using good technique. From beginners to grade 8 level (grade 5 is a level that would be enough to gain an A in a GCSE solo instrumental assessment). Piano Group Lessons are an encouraging and challenging environment that can be highly motivational. Learning and playing the piano in a group allows students to practice and perform in front of other people while building confidence. Our piano classes consist of learning pieces using notated music and by ear; scales; sight-reading; aural and technique exercises. We can prepare students to take Trinity guildhall grades, ABRSM, and Rock School piano or keyboard exams as well as performances.
