Areas of focus will include how to be safe on a night out, and also how to handle injuries specific to film sets (burns, electrocution, etc.) This is fantastic information to have both for your professional development and personal life. This workshop-based bite-size will provide space to explore some practical tools and ideas on how to be more resilient when faced with challenging and tough situations. There is an opportunity to do a self assessment and bring it to the day as a means to identify areas to work on and begin to master skills that will enhance resilient thinking. There will be time to explore what resilience is and understand the range of practical tools and techniques available that can be used beyond the workshop itself. This course covers the management of anaphylaxis and the use of auto-injectors for the initial treatment of anaphylaxis.

Paediatric First Aid Training – This QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid Training (RQF) qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting as it has been specifically designed to fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within the Child Care Register guide).

This course provides detailed safeguarding adults & children awareness, including essential knowledge in the recognition and reporting of abuse and neglect, procedures and responsibilities. This is for all workforce involved in Social Care from the health, public, independent, or voluntary sectors. This subject forms standard 10 & 11 in The Care Certificate.

This course is designed to suit a broad range of Care Sector staff. This training ensures that learners are equipped with a sufficient knowledge of mental health disorders so that they are able to manage and provide a high standard of support to affected service users. Learners will also know how to identify the symptoms of different mental disorders, adding real value to any organisation to which they provide services to.

A key-worker role is to provide the best individual care for people they support and carry out effective assessment and support planning. This course will help you to gain a better knowledge of the policy which underpins end of life care. It will help you to learn about the delivery of great end of life care and improve your communication skills to strengthen working relationships during this period. You will also feel you have a better understanding on how to support the friends and family of the person that you are caring for.

This includes those working in healthcare, in close contact with people or animals, and those involved in the cleaning of human and animal waste. Infections can be easily spread, but by understanding the correct steps to take, the risk of their occurrence can be both prevented and controlled.
