With over two decades experience supporting pet carers pre, during and post the death of their much loved pets, Dawn Murray is one of the UK’s leading pet bereavement counsellors. Dawn has always, and continues to, provide her counselling services free of charge. Amongst her qualifications Dawn has Diploma's in Pet Bereavement Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and worked for many years as a Pet Undertaker. She is a qualified CPD presenter. Recognised as an expert in her field Dawn is described by the press as a 'Pet Bereavement Specialist'. Dawns work as a pet undertaker was highlighted in a BBC documentary and she is regularly asked to participate in both local and national Radio and television programmes, and most recently she was invited onto the 'PM' show on BBC Radio 4 where she was asked to discuss pet bereavement after Prince William and Catherine lost their dog, Lupo. Dawns unique style allows clients to feel at ease safe in the knowledge that she will support and guide them through their darkest days and clients are referred to her by Veterinary Schools and Doctors. She has experienced pet bereavement many times herself and fully understands the devastating impact a loss like this can have on your life. Dawn is also the founder of Ray of Hope and has raised thousands of pounds over the years to help animal charities. Dawn has also provided pet bereavement training free of charge to charities here in the UK for many years including most recently the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home and Canine Partners. Dawn lives in West Lothian with her husband Dave, their gorgeous whippets Cammy & Georgie and their stunning tortoiseshell cat Hilda.

On completion of the training, five 14ft boats sailed 6 miles to Innisbiggle for the Island Festival. The sailing week has continued to the present and grown significantly. Last year approx 100 people took part and there was a fleet of 22 boats. The Club has had considerable success in obtaining training funding for commercial and leisure marine courses with Leader and MFG providing the funds. A grant from Shell in October 2007 allowed us to increase our sailing fleet and get instructor training for powerboats and diesel engine maintenance. Further grants from Shell, the Bellacorick fund and the mayo sports partnership in 2010 allowed us to improve our sailing fleet (bought two laser Picos) and strengthen our safety boats (new 14ft dory and 6m rib). In June 2011, more special needs training was supported by the Mayo Sports Partnership and MFG granted €30, 600 towards the purchase of four new Hobie Cat Tatoos. In August 2008, the club was offered affiliation with The Irish Sailing Association, The ISA is responsible for most marine training in the country, their courses and certificates are recognized and approved by the Irish Government. Membership of The ISA was a major stepping-stone in the advancement of the club. Sailing starts in April of each year and the Club have regular Sailing sessions. They are scheduled to suits tides so could be on a weekday evening or weekend. Boats used are 420’s 470’s, lasers, toppers and five Hobie cats with a fully equipped and qualified safety team supervising the sailing. Anyone that wishes to have a go is very welcome to come along, even if you just want to have a look. There is always a few on the shore, getting boats ready, repairing them or looking after the BBQ. The Sailing will follow the ISA syllabus and arrangements have been made for an ISA Examiner to visit the Summer Sailing camp to assess Sailors and test them for the various sailing levels.

Based in our home town of Leeds, we are a nationally recognised community enterprise. Seagulls was founded by Cat and Kate around a kitchen table in 2002. We have three core aims: PEOPLE- to provide training, volunteering and employment opportunities for some of the most marginalised people across Leeds. PLANET- to divert waste materials from landfill for the benefit of the Leeds community, raising awareness for recycling and reuse, whilst reducing carbon emissions. PROFIT- to generate income and ultimately become a self sustaining enterprise. We seek to improve the environment through the recycling and reuse of paint materials. Alongside the creation of work for disadvantaged people and groups; in addition to selling low-cost high-quality paint products to the local community. So far we have diverted 4 million litres of paint from landfill. This is the equivalent to filling 50,000 household baths with paint! With people and the environment at the core of our business, we are well placed to educate people. For example, teaching people the importance of reusing and recycling unwanted household materials. We have built a unique and creative local enterprise whilst thinking outside of the box, both in our approach to business and people.

Welcome! I am a warm and compassionate Senior Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience of supporting individuals, groups and families. I also work in secondary care mental health services with people who present with a range of difficulties such as shame, self-criticism, dissociation, interpersonal difficulties etc. I hold a non-pathologising view of psychological distress and use a range of models flexibly and creatively to help people address their individual concerns and achieve greater well-being. I also offer individual and group supervision to qualified therapists, and lead Internal Family Systems practice groups. I have a special interest in working with adults who have experienced trauma bringing together, Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and Cognitive-Analytic Therapy (CAT), to help people begin the deep healing process that trauma requires. I am Certified/ Accredited in IFS, EMDR, CAT, and CBT, undertaking ongoing supervision and training. I started weaving about 23 years ago when a lovely lady called Cat (Catherine Beaumont) showed me how to make the base of a basket From that moment on I have had a creative journey, working with and learning about willow. My beginnings were very part time, but in the last few years I've been dedicating much more of my life to the study and practise of this amazing material. My husband Brian and daughter Jaz have joined me in the journey and are now part of the teaching team. Brian has been teaching Conservation management and greenwood crafts for over 25 years and Jaz, nearly 30 now has been home educated and grown up with willow in her veins.

Transpath Inc. is a unique diagnostics company providing central slide review by Dr. Kim Solez of kidney transplant biopsies for international clinical trials. Dr. Solez established the Banff Classification by which such biopsies are read worldwide with Dr. Lorraine Racusen in 1991, and he has been engaged in central slide review work since 1992. He and Dr. Racusen direct the Banff Allograft Pathology meetings every two years which establish and fine tune diagnostic criteria in solid organ transplantation. Assisting Dr. Solez in carrying out the work of the company are Laurie Cat Bennett, Vice President for Operations, Preeti Kuttikat, Coordinator (part time), and Stephen Trevoy, Accountant. The Eleventh Banff Conference on Allograft Pathology was held from June 6-10, 2011 in Paris, France.
